I've been looking for a camera since I could remember. Then for my 18th birthday my mom surprised me with the Cannon Power-Shot A570. At first glance, I was skeptical because my best friend had always used a Kodak Photo-share, So I was hoping for one of those. Although, I started fooling around with the options on the camera and I started to get impressed by all the great options that it had and the video option that it featured. I was impressed with the mega-pixel (7.1) for being such a small camera, it takes wondrous pictures! It also can take AA batteries, which for me is a downfall. My… read full review »

Canon A570 IS gathers several nice features those are too important not to have with a nice price. IT is around $150 to $200 in the market and with that price you get a camera that is 7.1 mega pixel, 4X zoom and IS technology. It runs on AA batteries and 2 of them is enough unlike some previous versions of Canon with same properties. Therefore the camera is light though not light nor small as Canon SD series. This camera also uses secure digital memory cards, which are quite cheaper than some other type of memory cards out there. SD cards are also more convenient because there are other… read full review »

This camera has great picture quality. It is easy to use and has many features. The movie feature has good quailty and will record as much as the SD card will hold, currently I have a 1 GB installed. I have used it mostly indoors and have taken great shots at an aquarium for which it also has a setting. Even pictures where you are not allowed to use a flash come out good. I bought this camera on sale and was hesitant to actually use it as it is bigger than what I actually wanted but it won me over with its quality and features. I would recommend it to anyone. I have also found that even when… read full review »

My husband and I wanted a camera to take photos of our new baby.  I wanted a point and shoot film camera (easy to use and I didn't want to spend hours learning tons of settings).  I am glad my husband insisted on going digital.  This camera has many settings for my husband to play with, including manual.  I love the automatic setting - point and shoot!  The picture quaility is fantastic.  I brought the camera to my baby shower and anyone who touched it was impressed by the ease of use, large display screen and the fact that this camera has a view finder.  We… read full review »

This is a great camera, especially for the low price. Photo quality is excellent and there are enough options and features to satisfy even the most picky user. I especially like the feature that focuses on a person in the photo and ensures that the overall exposure will be favorable for that person. Like all Canon cameras, this feels solid and works smoothly. — — Note: don't be surprised if you go through a lot of batteries, especially if you use the flash -- but that's par for the course for lots of digital cameras. Best bet: use rechargeable batteries of at least 2500mAh,… read full review »

After reviewing many options for under $200 it was obvious we were going to buy Canon.  The pictures of many of the Canon cameras were simply magnificent!  The colors were great, not to mention the quality of the shots.  After purchasing the Canon A570 IS we quickly realized just how happy we were, and others quickly noticed too!  Others are planning to buy this camera now, after seeing our pictures.  Many of the shots we take are at night, as we're into Paranormal Investigating so a good flash is a must!  If you're looking for an all around easy camera to use,… read full review »

This is a nice camera, not heavy, easy to use but loaded with features. The LCD screen is fairly large, clear and vivid. — There are many prgramming options with this camera and although it isn't an SLR, there is the option of setting ISO. — You can change the quality of your photos from the Function Menu on the camera.  I like this because if I am taking photos for a web site I can put the quality lower and have less kilobites or megabites to upload. — This camera sucks up the batteries no matter if I get the expensive ones or the cheapos, will be getting… read full review »

This is a great camera.  I had one for about a year and loved the features.  My only problem with this camera, as well as all canons I have ordered, is that the shutter tends to bend and then the camera will not function.  I have had 3 canon cameras and this has happened to all of them.  I finally learned by lesson this last time and bought the extended warranty.  I love canon cameras, but hope they can fix the shutter problem with their next… read full review »

I bought this camera for my husband. I use a Canon SLR, but he needed something smaller to travel with, so this was the perfect fit. The biggest selling point was the option to manually control the ISO, shutter speed, f-stop, etc. It also has a manual focus option, as well as the ability to add on additional lens adapters and filters. The pictures and video are excellent quality, and we couldn't be more pleased. Well worth the $179 we… read full review »

I recently bought this camera after much research.  I did not want to buy the latest model as I did not have $300 - $400 to spend.  I bought this camera for $150 including a bonus offer free 2g memory card.  The camera is very solid, easy yo use and take really great pictures.  I would recommend this camera for anyone but for one who is new to photography or anyone who likes the feel of a traditional… read full review »

Go ahead and buy the additional memory card if you ever want to take more than just a few pictures.  The internal memory gets used up rather quickly.  This camera is fairly easy to use and takes great pictures.  The size is perfect for travel or children's sporting events.  I am not very camera knoledgeable but I can take great pictures with this… read full review »

This camera was very easy to use right out of the box. I love all the options, especially the black and white option.  Also the one were you can add color to only one item on the screen.  Very neat.  I also like that you can close the view finder.  This helps to protect the screen and not get scratched… read full review »
