Most HelpfulI purchased this Canon Powershot about three years ago. I have taken approximately 7,000 pictures with it and it is just now starting to give up on me - it will not longer take good shots, I've probably just worn it down. I will probably upgrade the camera in the next month or two because I do not have a camera phone to take pictures of anything with. In terms of durability, the camera holds up quite well, but if you're an avid picture-taker like me, go for a camera with a better zoom and a battery that does not need to be charged so much. I like the Canon brand, so my next camera will be a Canon...
review »I really like this camera, except for the fact that the focus doesn't work so well. I have shaky hands (it's genetic) and so the auto-focus doesn't work because it has the little icon that means the camera is moving too much to focus. I take pictures all the time. My little brother is 10 months old and is one of the main focuses of my pictures. I also love nature and am constantly outside taking pictures of the sky, trees, and plants. This camera provides sharp pictures (when not shaky...) and is very easy to use, while still having enough options to keep it interesting. ...
review »I have young children and had a camera with horrible delay, so I kept missing all the great moments from my kids. And you don't get a second take with them! The Canon Powershot A560 is great - no delay when used in adequate light, and even with the flash, it's minimal. I have yet to take a bad picture with it! It was recommended to me by a friend and I'm happy I made the investment, which wasn't that bad. Very easy to use, simple instructions, and the manual is easy to follow for when I decide I want to learn how to do more with it. It also takes great video with audio playback; something...
review »I've never been the best photographer, but with the advent of digital cameras, I decided it was the perfect time to learn. No wasted film, and I can also learn about editing my pictures once I upload them.
I was looking for a camera that had some of the basic features that make it easy to use - automatic settings, etc., but could also help me learn how to go beyond "point and click" photography. I am very pleased with my selection. For under $200, the Canon PowerShot A560 has been a great investment as well as a lot of fun. It has the usual limitations found in a less expensive...
review »I love this camera. I used this camera on my trip to Moscow, Italy and most recently on the delivery of my first child. It held greatly with the cold weather in Moscow. I went there around february which was one of their coldest month and I took more than 800 pictures! I also made some videos with it. In my trip in Italy I took over 1200 pictures. My husband cannot stand taking pictures, so I am glad that I can just grab the camera and snap quick shots even if he is not in the mood to take the pics. I was so glad that this camera has a video setting because I was planning on recording my whole...
review »Before the birth of our first child, I bought a Polaroid digital camera on sale. I had a Canon, but wanted more megapixels. That was a big mistake! The Polaroid camera took awful pictures and was slow to reload.
When our son was only 2 months old, we decided to again buy a new camera since the other one was so awful. We did not want to spend a lot of money, but wanted quality. Our first Canon was such a good camera, that we decided to go that route again. We purchased the A560. With 4x optical zoom and 7.1 megapixels, it is a great camera! I love the quality of the photos and...
review »I bought this camera for my girlfriend as a gift since she was always borrowing my digital camera and didn't have one of her own yet. I was looking for something easy to use but something that would produce good results. I knew Canon was usually a reliable brand and began looking at reviews for the Powershot series. I found a great deal on the A560 and decided to purchase it. It features a large, bright LCD display that works great for point and shoot use. I was also impressed with Canon's advancement of the controls as far as the buttons on the back of the camera are concerned. The controls are...
review »I got the Canon Powershot for Christmas last year and I have used it frequently since then. It takes great pictures, there are several settings, you can use the auto setting that will choose the best setting for the picture you are taking, or you can take black and white, scenery, portrait, there is even a setting for taking pictures of kids or pets. I have 2 kids and I take lots of pictures of them. The only downside for this is that the flash sometimes takes a minute so the pictures come out blurry. But since its a digital camera you can see right away whether its a good picture or not. Its...
