I reviewed many cameras before making my purchase about two years ago.  I am a pet groomer and I wanted a camera that had quickness in turning on and taking a photo.  Pets don't have a "stay there" pose.  So, that was most important to me in buying this camera.  In purchasing it, I found that it did in fact have a quick response time in grabbing it and turning it on and clicking for a photo.  I also found that the type of memory card was easy to use at digital printing stands.  I really liked the compactness of the camera which I could throw into my small purses without feeling like I was lugging a suit case around (like my other Canon).  For the price this camera was great.  I waited for a sale too and got a free gift card at the store I bought it from.  I went ahead and purchased the extended warranty too.  I had actually dropped it four times and finally the battery cover still locked into place, but it was damaged.  The warrant it replacing the camera now but I wish the warrant just fixed it.  However, the camera photo quality were amazing.  It didn't come with a case, so I got my own, miniature one, which was basic and miserable.  I did get a usb stick that took the memory card to the camera which made it very easy to upload photos.  The stick fit into the camera case easily.  The memory cards are very reasonable, I ended up with three cards.  I loved the camera.  I did find that at one point the camera wouldn't react fast enough.  I was upset.  But, I was finally told that the batteries I was using were not the lithium batteries that would work best with my camera.  So, I spent the extra money (on a vacation trip) and got the expensive batteries and we were back on track.  The camera picked up, turned on, and took the photo quick.  I usually use rechargeable batteries and when the camera slowed down, I'd know I would need to recharge.  So, it does well on rechargeable batteries too.  Just make sure to bring extra charged batteries when traveling.  Hope this helps someone pick out the right camera.
