Nice little personal camera

5

Great little camera that fits in your pocket or purse but takes nice clean and crisp pictures. uses a memory card and can hold up to 400 pictures. Has many features for different settings for different situations. Image Quality The image quality for a small camera like this is fantastic. I have taken many on my little Canon camera that have been better than a professionals are. The image is clean and well focused, and shows lots of detail. Performance camera performs well under most conditions, except in very dark places like at night. Some images at night have come out but it depends on what you are taking a picture of. Day light and even overcast days come out extremely well and are beautiful. Ease of Use The camera is easy to use but sometimes the button to take the picture can be a bit touchy. You also have to wait a few seconds for it to focus. The memory card and the batteries are easy to install and uninstall. Durability The camera I have is 4 years old and has been dropped, left in a hot car, gotten wet and the memory card hacked by a computer and it is still going strong. Battery Life The batteries are double A's and last 3 to 4 months with normal use. It gives a warning light when batteries are low. Portability It has a carry strap but is small enough to go into your purse or luggage with out taking up a lot of room.

This Digital Camera By Canon Takes Good Photos Then Burns Out

3

The Canon - PowerShot A480 Digital Camera is an average camera. It is simple to use. You just point and shoot it. This camera is better suited for a beginner than a professional. This camera takes amazing photos in good lighting. It does not do well in darkly lit rooms, even with a flash. The tone and sharpness of the images come out well. It does a pretty good job of zooming in on items. The photos come out colorful with good detail. It has red-eye correction. I use it to take photos of items I am selling. I use it for photo galleries too. You can use this with a tripod if you want. It is very easy to load the batteries. Unfortunately, you have to replace the batteries often. After awhile this camera will take blurry photos, if you use it a lot. This camera is small and delicate. It will fit easily into your purse, tote or briefcase. It will fit in your pocket as well. It is perfect for travel. I don't think this camera will last more than two years. This camera is good for short-time use. It has a trendy design, and comes in a pretty color. This camera is over-priced for how well it works. I give the "Canon - PowerShot A480 Digital Camera" 3 STARS.

PowerShot is the one

The Canon-PowerShot A480 Digital Camera is really great. My Mom who is 90 can get really good photos with this and before we had a lot of red eyes and heads missing. It is so easy to use that anyone can use it. Love that the screen is easy to see and for senior that is a plus you know they love to take those grandkids photos. Have great features, like zoom so you can stand way back and catch the kiddies doing those cute things that they will stop if they see you and the battery is really long life so that helps too. I also like that it is easy to review the photos after you take them so if there is something that doesn't look right it is easy to take off. Canon makes great product and this is one of them Image Quality Your photos are really sharp and good Performance Has been a faithful camera Ease of Use So simple and really easy good for seniors and the kids too. Durability Holds up really well for travel Battery Life Seems to take a lot of photos before you have to replace battery. Portability Not too little but small enough that you can drop it in your purse with no problem

It is a great camera for the price. Very easy to use. Image Quality It does great job and the quality of the pictures are always super Performance the picture quality is always great, but the best pictures one can get using the tripod Ease of Use Great camera for entry level - very easy to operate Durability I did not drop my camera yet but it it looks durable, even though it's made of plastic Battery Life I took almost 1000 pictures before I recharged the batteries Portability I would recommend to buy a case, but even without it the camera is small, easy to put into a pocket.

The Powershot A480 is a nice camera, especially for the price.

I got my Canon PowerShot A480 digital camera about five months ago, and I've been taking a ton of pictures with it, and I love it! I know it's not the best digital camera that money can buy, but if you're looking for a quality camera that doesn't break the bank, this is a good option to consider. It takes great pictures indoors and outdoors and it can record video. Like I said, I've taken many pictures with this camera, and I haven't gotten a blurry one yet. This may sound a bit odd, but I take a lot of pictures of pets, and for some reason, my cat (who always blinks when I take her picture with other cameras when the flash goes off) doesn't tend to close her eyes when I take a picture with the PowerShot. I'm sure this extends to humans as well. My PowerShot is a very pretty blue-violet; I'm not exactly sure if it comes in other colors. It's relatively compact and could easily fit into even a relatively crowded purse. It comes with instructions but is pretty easy to figure out even without them. So, I'd recommend this product to someone who is looking for a new digital camera as long as the person is not looking for a professional quality camera.

Great camera for on the go!

Purchased the Canon PowerShot A480 to take on an international adoption trip. LOVED the camera. It's easy to switch from pictures to video! We took over 3,600 pictures/videos during our 4 weeks out of the country to adopt our son! This camera will fits into your pocket with ease and is quick to take pictues. We used rechargeable batteries 2600mAh with a 8gb SD card and they worked really well! The camera is well worth the money and will provide great photos!

Looking for a cheap, point-and-shoot camera, I turned towards the Canon Powershot A480. However, I wasn't that impressed by it's qualities, features, and overall "what you get for what you pay for". Immediately, after taking it outside of the box, I wasn't too satisfied with the construction, feel, and look to it. It had a cheap, plastic construction to it, the keys didn't feel responsive, was too bulky, and didn't look that asthetically pleasing compared to Canon's own Powershots. Even still, it makes me wonder why the A480 is so bulky compared to Canon's slimmer Powershots. But other than that, it has a good decent amount of megapixels, but optical zoom could be better. However, it's simple enough for beginners like teens, but for families that might want a more advanced camera might not want to look at this. On the other hand, the A480 is simply too slow, the pictures are really noisy (ISO), photos aren't that sharp, and like I said, it's bulky. Honestly, I wish Canon made the camera a lot more better and put more thought into this. Already returned my A480.

The Canon PowerShot A480 is sloooooooooooooow

I'm a very amateur photographer, and last year I finally got around to upgrading my several-years-old 3 megapixel Sony camera. I wanted something decent but basic, so I chose the Canon Powershot A480. The PowerShot A480 is very much an entry-level digital camera. It has a 10 megapixel sensor and 3.3x optical zoom, which are more than enough for me; I mostly print out 4x6 photos, but the occasional 5x7 or 8x10 have turned out fine. The PowerShot A480 generally takes very nice pictures. It's a little on the chunky side, but compact enough to carry around in my purse. It takes AA batteries, and let me tell you, it sucks those babies dry in an amazingly short amount of time. In one 4-hour birthday party I had to change the batteries twice, and I was NOT taking pictures constantly, or even very often. The biggest drawback to this camera is that it is so, so slow. It includes an autofocus feature that I haven't been able to figure out how to turn off, and it takes forever to focus. I have missed out on a lot of my 2-year-old's cute moments and expressions because the camera takes so darn long to take a picture. It also often gives a message that the flash is recharging, with also takes a long time and slows down picture taking. In short, you can take nice pictures if your subject is willing to stay still for a long time. If you have a toddler, forget about it.

Great little Camera for the price!

I like how compact the little camera is and even though it is small it has a decent sized screen. Good quality photos and the videos are nice and crisp. I wish that there was an option to delete all of the photos off of the camera at once but you have to delete them one at a time. For the price, i have been very satisfied.

It's a Cannon...need I say more?

Last February I was looking to buy a digital camera for my 14 year old daughter.  She and her friends are taking pictures constantly and they were using my camera, so I knew it was time to get her her own camera.  I wanted a good quality camera, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg to get one.  After looking around online I found the Cannon PowerShot A480.  I knew that Cannon is a respected brand and I myself have had several Cannon Cameras and they are great quality.  I chose the Cannon PowerShot A480 because of the Cannon name and I liked the size of it.  Everything that I read about it sounded perfect.  I also like the different color choices.  We got the blue one.  My daughter was very excited and loves the camera.  She's gotten lots of compliments about it from her friends.  It's easy for her to take the camera  to concerts, sleepovers, etc.  It takes great pictures and they are easy to download on the computer.  One of the best things I like is that you charge the camera and don't have to buy regular batteries all the time.  I definately recommend this camera for teenagers or adults who want a nice little basic camera and that is of good quality.
