Overall, I think this a a very good camera. Especially for people that want an easy camera for those times you want a better picture than what some camera phones can do. Adapts well from quick fun photos to posed pics of semi-formal events. Image Quality I think this camera provides great picture quality. Performance Absolutely no negative issues found in the performance of the Power Shot A3000. Ease of Use Fairly smooth & simple operating this model Cannon. Not complicated at all. Durability I carry this A3000 in my backpack for work & pleasure. I have it with me just in case I may need to take pics of funsituations as well as serious situation pics. As long as you don't treat the camera like junk, it works well in most normal conditions. Battery Life No negative issues with the battery. Portability Small and compact enough to take almost anywhere.

After scouring dozens of reviews of compact digital cameras, I settled on this Canon Powershot because it is so feature-rich at a fraction of the cost of more expensive cameras. Overall, I highly recommend this camera due to the 10 MP with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD. It's a great camera and an excellent value. Image Quality I found the Optical Image Stabilizer to be incredibly helpful while I was taking pictures at a concert. My hands are always a little shaky, and when I try to hold them still they seem to get even worse. I know that my hands were shaking a little while I took my turn snapping pictures, but the camera somehow adjusted for that. I didn't get any blurry images at all. Every photo I took printed out without graininess or streaks. The print quality is excellent for a camera in this price range. Performance The 2.7" LCD display gave me a good view even in the limited light of the stadium. I also think that the 4x zoom feature is a dream--it allows you to zoom in for a crystal clear close up and more detail. In fact, I ended up deleting a couple of pictures that initially looked perfect, but when I zoomed in for a close-up I could see that my subject's eyes were half shut. Ease of Use Another feature that I appreciated is that even in the low light of the stadium, the SMART Auto and flash features took care of the automatic settings for me. Even though there are plenty of manual settings for experienced photographers to use during challenging conditions, I appreciated that I didn't have to fiddle with various settings to get good quality photos. Durability The camera seems well constructed and there aren't any areas that concern me at this point. I did buy an inexpensive carry pouch to protect it when it's not in use. Hopefully, that will ensure that the PowerShot has a little longer life. Battery Life The camera was easy to use right out of the box, and the camera charges quickly with the included charger. The battery hasn't needed to be changed yet so I can't say how long it will last. Portability Extremely portable, the Canon PowerShot A3000 is compact and lightweight. It's easy to slip into a purse, bag, or large pocket.

I bought the Canon Powershot A3000 IS digital camera so I could have a nice small compact camera. I own a large Canon Powershot and needed something I could easily slip in my purse or pocket...I couldn't do that with my last bulky camera! I loved my other Canon so much it was a no brainer to go with another Canon this time. I love how small, thin, sleek this camera is. It takes pretty good pictures too, I am probably comparing too much to my other Canon because the quality of the pictures don't seem amazing, they are just "okay." and I figured it would be that way. You get what you pay for. Anyways, the Canon Powershot A3000 IS has a large screen, 10 megapixels and 4X optical zoom. It is very easy to use and comes with many settings. The dial at the top of the camera has an "auto" setting, "portrait" setting, "landscape" setting, "night snapshot", "kids & pets", "indoor", "self timer" "movie", and "program" settings. My favorite feature is the low light setting they have. One roblem I've always had with cameras is when there is not enough light but flash doesnt look good either. This camera fixes that problem automatically-you don't have to do a thing. I do really like this camera and would recommend it to anyone. I've had no problems with it and I think it s a great camera for the price!

When my wife first got her Canon Powershot camera, I couldn't really see past the price tag.  I'd never bought a digital camera before and I was a bit taken aback, as would be expected from a guy who's used to buying disposables.  However, this thing not only takes fantastic pictures, but it's resilient as any piece of electronics I've ever encountered.  It's been dropped from just about every height up to about 8 feet and yielded not much beyond a small splinter crack which didn't affect its usage one bit.  That's to say nothing of the picture quality, especially the macro function.  I took an introductory photography class in undergrad for which I had borrowed a much more expensive professional camera from a friend, but the artsy type photos I've seen the Powershot take rival a camera worth 5x as much.  The battery life is fantastic as well, as we've taken it on several weekend trips and taken hundreds of photos without having to worry about it dying.

My husband (a photographer) picked this camera out for me. I wanted something with not too much of a learning curve, small (read: easy to hide from my toddlers), inexpensive, and of good quality. I have no photography background so I am finding the flash a little difficult to work, especially. I don't really know about the settings, but a nice little reading of the manual should help with that. So far I have taken hundreds of decent pictures, so I must not be doing too bad. I was definitely able to just pick up and start taking pictures. I like that it's compact and easy to carry along. The price for this camera is great. We didn't spend a lot on it, but we didn't have to sacrifice quality. I also love that I can shoot video. I live far away from my family and have two small children that are growing fast, so every picture and video is priceless to them. The charger is also very convenient. I have a husband that loves electronic gadgets, so anything without a cord is a blessing to me!

Cannon has always been a reliable camera brand.  I recently bought this camera for my parents (I have the older version from 2 years ago).  It is very function-able and easy to use.  Buttons are large enough to decipher and simple.  This version is actually bigger than mine and a little less ascetically pleasing, in my opinion, but if you don't care about the exterior, it is a great working camera!  A bit bulky, but then again it is hard to lose.  Quality is overall great- if you choose the highest quality setting on the camera the pictures are crystal.  It uses a lithium battery and comes to a charger which is always advantageous compared to having to use double-a's.  I recommend covering the screen with some protectant to avoid scratching.  Very durable as well, I dropped it a few times and it still works.  If you are looking for a more advanced camera for photography, you may want to upgrade to a more advanced camera.  I recommend!

**the** **Canon - PowerShot A3000 IS Digital Camera is so far my faviorate camera that i have ever owned. i have so far taken it with me on a few vacations to flarida and las vagas. i have taken so many pictures with my kids in front of micky and minny and the pictures came out great! when your looking at the picture it is as if your right back were you took the picture from. i have had many cameras before and they all have been pretty good but this new technology on this canon really out does them all so far. its extrealy easy to use and easy to extract them on to the computer so the whole family can see. and as for the price i thought it was great not such a steal but still a low price. well i know what i am going to do for christmas i am giving both my brothers a canon to use cause they love to take pictures of there kids and i know they will absolutly love this camera like they have never seen one before. **

Great camera for the price and great pictures to boot. Love the quality of this camera i got it for myself for my birthday and im just loveing it so far. One great camera if you love taking pictures out door or of your family and friends. Doesnt work that great at night i must admit it has problems with that but if your looking for a great camera i suggest this one. Canon is a great company for its cameras and after reading a lot of reviews on this i decided to buy it. The only thing i didnt like is that you have to get a colored camera online and it doesnt take great pictures at night but for a camera this price who expects that? I think this is a great camera to own if you are new to cameras or just love taking random photos of events i dont think this is one for professional cameras. If i had to rate this camera id give it 4 out of 5 a nice camera and overall nice look to it. Also it doesnt look cheap very great price.

This camera is amazing. Anyone can use it. It truly is a point and shoot camera. It has an easy mode along with auto mode and all the specialty modes. The LCD screen flips the picture in review mode depending on how you hold the camera.  4x digital zoom is plenty. The camera is so durable. The only down side is that the steady shot is not that steady. Of the over 4000 pictures I have taken with this camera maybe 10 percent of them have been blurry. The video quality is outstanding however the zoom is not that great with video. I really enjoy the sleek design. It can fit in my pocket very easily.  The battery holds its charge for a really long time. And the charger is small and has no cords. The charger is a quick charger, in less than one and a half hours the battery is fully charged. Wonderful for when you need to get a quick recharge. I don't think that I will ever buy a different brand of camera. Canon has my heart!

This camera is small enough that I can take anywhere, whether I'm traveling or going out with friends. The zoom is great and I've never had pictures so clear!! The only problem is you can't force the flash and sometimes it's needed, but this camera is GREAT!
