The Canon MX700 printer is a versatile piece of equipment.
I feel like I've gotten a good deal on this product because I can copy papers, pictures, etc., independently of my computer. I can send and receive faxes on my home phone and the scan program is easy to use, to edit. Performance Printing is quieter than my husband's HP printer, for example. It does take the scanner a couple of minutes to warm up, but it scans really well, and sending a fax is easy, as long as the correct phone number is entered, it sends it as quick as the receiving line can accept it. Copy Quality The copied page looks exactly like the original page when I copy, especially when I use the color mode instead of black & white mode. To save on ink and if the copy is just for my files, I usually use the black & white mode. Copies are crisp, not smeared or anything like that. Ink/Paper Use I chose "Good" on this portion because when I am printing color photographs, yes, it does seem to use a lot of ink, but I've read about and experienced other copiers that also use a lot of ink when printing photographs or pictures. Ease of Use I've had this all-in-one printer for a few years now, so maybe it is because I've used it for so long, but I believe it is easy to use. Durability Well, it has been moved several times from one state to another, as well as, moved around the house to different set ups; and, I haven't had any problems with it. Of course I was careful not to drop it or bump it around, too. The paper trays fold or slide out of the way when not in use, so that prevents them from breaking or cracking. Design Well it has this sleek look to me. When the trays are folded up, down, into when not in use, it is this slick-looking piece of equipment. And, when one would go to use it, you don't have to open up everything for it to work. You do have to open the receiving tray to make copies or it won't work. The ink modules are very easy to replace too.
