The Canon MX700 printer is a versatile piece of equipment.

I feel like I've gotten a good deal on this product because I can copy papers, pictures, etc., independently of my computer. I can send and receive faxes on my home phone and the scan program is easy to use, to edit. Performance Printing is quieter than my husband's HP printer, for example. It does take the scanner a couple of minutes to warm up, but it scans really well, and sending a fax is easy, as long as the correct phone number is entered, it sends it as quick as the receiving line can accept it. Copy Quality The copied page looks exactly like the original page when I copy, especially when I use the color mode instead of black & white mode. To save on ink and if the copy is just for my files, I usually use the black & white mode. Copies are crisp, not smeared or anything like that. Ink/Paper Use I chose "Good" on this portion because when I am printing color photographs, yes, it does seem to use a lot of ink, but I've read about and experienced other copiers that also use a lot of ink when printing photographs or pictures. Ease of Use I've had this all-in-one printer for a few years now, so maybe it is because I've used it for so long, but I believe it is easy to use. Durability Well, it has been moved several times from one state to another, as well as, moved around the house to different set ups; and, I haven't had any problems with it. Of course I was careful not to drop it or bump it around, too. The paper trays fold or slide out of the way when not in use, so that prevents them from breaking or cracking. Design Well it has this sleek look to me. When the trays are folded up, down, into when not in use, it is this slick-looking piece of equipment. And, when one would go to use it, you don't have to open up everything for it to work. You do have to open the receiving tray to make copies or it won't work. The ink modules are very easy to replace too.

Versatility and quality, a solid product.

Overall, this has been an impressive multifunction printer. I've only used it once to print a photo, and it turned out decent (medium quality). I've used the ADF several times. It works well and I haven't had any issues with jamming, but it is a slow process. If you plan to use the ADF frequently, I wouldn't recommend this one. The ink consumption is reasonable- not great, not horrible. I've had this printer now for a little over two years, and all I've had to do is replace the ink when it runs out. No problems of any kind, so I would say that this is constructed of pretty good quality. One downside is that my particular model doesn't have a wireless component to it. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have that capability. The other thing that I don't like about this printer (although it is better than my last Canon printer) is that it makes quite a bit of noise before it actually prints anything. If you think that a little extra noise would be annoying or if you will place it in a noise sensitive environment, you may want to consider a different printer.

Canon Pixma MX700 Printer trusted brand of mine, lots of feautures like you can choose wether you put the paper in rear of the frontloader, fax, you can use wirelessly on it through ethernet which if you additonal computer like laptop you can print from you laptop without connecting the wire just installed only the software . This is my first time having a wirelss printer and communicate my laptop and Canon printer wirelessly, I'm amazed not burden anymore to print. The picture printing it turns out very, very good and unique since it using only a little bit of ink , this machine woould last my ink for long time, it is a saver. One thing I'm impress with this too is the ink cartridge it lights up when you put it. When time to change you will know right away where ink cartridge need your attention since it blink all the time the ink needed to be change . So changing new(ink) always perfect ,no ifs or but , it there just like a spoon feeding way . This one has scanner too although I did not try it I'm sure it works well. This is fun , good for experimental photomaking machine , it always clear and very detailsin color for picture printing. Easy to installed and operate even a childcan do it.

Best all in one printer, copier, scanner, and fax for the price

5

The Canon Pixma MX 700 printer is one of the best all in one printers I have ever owned. Printer, scanner, fax and copier all in one. Was extremely easy to set up. I was up and running in less than 15 minutes. Prints and makes copies extremely fast for an inkjet printer. The fax is very easy to use. Buttons are easy to locate and the display gives prompts so you don't have to keep looking at the manual. Ink usage is about average but I like the fact that you can replace the individual ink colors. There are two paper trays, front and back so you can keep regular paper in one and photo paper in the other. It is very convenient not to have to change out the paper all the time. Connects to the computer with a USB cable. This makes it very easy to just unplug from the desktop and plug into my laptop when I need to print something off the laptop. Color copies come out just beautifully. Colors are true and doesn't seem to suck up an excessive amount of ink. You can crop, and adjust red eye photos before printing directly from a camera or memory card.  I just love this printer!

Canon Pixma MX700 is more than just a printer!

5

The Canon Pixma MX700 color inkjet printer has a lot of multifunction features and offers a strong overall performance for a good price.  The Canon Pixma MX700 is easy to use and installation is a snap.  It can be connected to your PC or laptop using an UBS cable.  In its design the Pixma MX700 includes a front control panel that is clearly labeled.  The function buttons on the panel adjust what is shown on a small color LCD and the menus are controled by the arrow buttons.  The Pixma MX700 has a front and rear vertical automatic document feeder.  The rear input document feeder unfolds from the top ot the machine and takes 30 sheets of paper.  The control panel toggle button controls the front and rear feeder function. The Canon Pixma MX700 does a good job, whether you want to print envelopes, Iron-On Transfers, Labels, Paper or Photo paper.  Scanning text and pictures is easy.  Text print is very good and copies are crisp.  Readibility of copied text is very good.  Color picture images on plain paper have an slight orange tint, however picture images on photo paper are accurate for color and precision.  Your pictures will have a professional look.    The Pixma MX700 prints text pages at a rate of 9.1 pages per minute and graphics pages at a rate of 3.2 ppm overall, it is one of the fastest units. Its media slots takes CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Microdrive, MultiMedia CArd (MMC), SD Card and xD-Picture Card types. The Canon Pixma MX700 is capable of scanning, photo printing, copying and printing any document.  Its Solutions Menu interface is well-designed for easy management through your PC.  Overall, the Pixma MX700 has one of the strongest multifunction packages I've ever own.  It packs a lot of functions into an easy to use model and it offers a lot of quality features for a very affordable price.

Canon printer is good if you print a lot of photos

2

This mx700 canon is great if you print a lot of photos and are looking for quality over price. For the average user and in this economy I would assume most would choose price. This unit prints exceptional but when it comes time to purchase ink it is VERY PRICEY!!! Not only is all ink expensive but expecially so for this printer it takes over 4 ink cartriges and cost is ridiculus but more importantly if your out of only magenta and just want to print a black and white image you will be unsucessful in doing so. Canon requires you to make sure all you cartriges are full before you can print anything unlike HP. An HP printer you can be out of color but still print out anything in black as long as you have black ink. So again unless your into pictures and don't care about price on ink then this machine will suit your needs other than that its a decent price printer but when it comes to ink it will emply out your pocket book.

Noisy and guzzles ink, but a solid multifunction printer

4

This is a pretty good multifunction printer for the price.  It prints relatively quickly, though the scanning is a bit cumbersome.  It includes fax capability (a bit limited, but it can fax) and has a document feeder tray (which I really like).  It has a built-in memory card reader and an LCD screen so I can preview pictures before printing them.  However, the feeder tray doesn't do well with 4x6 paper or envelopes.  My only other complaint is that the printer seems noisier than others I've used in the past. It does NOT come with a USB cable, so beware.  I had a spare USB cable lying around, though.  It comes with a CD that has software making installation effortless.  However - and this is a common complaint with printers in general - it guzzles ink very fast.  I don't do a whole lot of printing and I have to replace the cartridges very frequently.  I recommend using generic cartridges to same some money.  Fortunately, even the OEM cartridges are not terribly expensive.  Note that the ink monitor (which tells you how much ink is left in the cartridge) does not seem to be very accurate, either.  I don't think it measures the actual ink level remaining, but I think it estimates it based on the number of pages printed?  Not sure, but it isn't very accurate.

Works great

5

I have had this printer for two years now,  and I have never had a problem with it.  I have used all the functions from copying, faxing, receiving faxes, scanning, printing and photo printing.  They all work great!  I can get ink replacements really cheap online (generic ones).  You can chose to load it from the front or back tray, with is nice.  The automatic feed tray on the copier, scanner, and fax part works great.  For a home computer or home office it think it fast, efficient and great price.  Even for a small office might work well or for a backup fax/copier/scanner.  I have scanned photos and docs both work great.  You choose if you want it to be a pds or photo.  I have used this many times when working at home it does the job.  It also has a memory card function but i have never used that, but it is conveniently located under a small door on the front of the printer.  There is a viewing screen for the menu, functions and warning that is bright, in color and very easy to read.

I absolutely love this printer/copier/scanner!!

5

This copier/printer/scanner is amazing!  It is super user friendly and produces quality documents.  I was skeptical at first that I would be able to get all of these services from one machine but I have been very pleased with the results.  I would recommend this product to anyone out there looking to conserve space and just purchase an all around awesome product.

One teriffic piece of technology.

5

For the price I paid for this Canon MX700, it has already paid for itself twice in the amount of work it allows me to perform without hestitation or delay. This is definately a printer to have in your collection of need to have items for a small business or personal use. It is a functional piece of equipment that does it all in a compact space and time. And with the Energy Star rating that this product has, the amount of electricity that it uses is practically nothing.
