Well I didnt even intend to buy this printer when I got it.  I went with the intention to get ink refills for my old one.  But when I saw that this printer was only $20 at CompUSA and the ink refills were going to cost $50, I figured why not?

Got it home.  Took it out of the box.  It has a nice sleek look to it.  Its kinda like a rounded rectangle made of a reflective black plastic kinda like what the ipod is made of.  Installation was simple...the disc did its thing the you plug in your USB cable(not included) and boom, your up and running.  It prints at a decent speed.  Simple text documents print out in about 3 seconds.  I printed out some 8.5X11 professional quality photos and they took about 2-3 minutes a piece.

The print quality is terrific.  It uses something called FINE inkjet nozzle engineering.  Not sure how it compares to the technology other companies use but it works pretty well for me.  Of course the quality of the prints will only be as good as the quality of the picture.  I managed to get six 8.5X11 professional quality photos out before I ran out of color ink.  Im on my 3rd color cartridge but my black is still running strong 15 pictures later.

After using it a couple weeks the only thing I have to say that I really dont like about it is that it does not have a tray to hold the pages after they print so you have to have a desk with enough space that the pages can just lay on it.  Its a little noisy too but not unbearable.

Overall Id say this is a very good printer especially for the price.  If your not printing out ridiculous ink hogging pictures like myself then your ink cartridges will probably last a decent time.

You pay $50 for ink cartridges???!!!!!! Wow. I thought we pay a lot with $30. We've been considering saving this for photos and maybe later getting a printer that takes lower priced cartridges.
