I've owned this model for a little over a month. I paid just until $100 for it.
I did lots of research and read lots of reviews beforehand, and none mentioned how noisily it prints. I assume this is because it is cheap? Before this one, I have another Canon All-In-One - a more expensive model- it was much quieter, and performed actions more smoothly.
Also, I may have just gotten a lemon..but I've been having problems with the scanner for over a week. When I press the buttons to switch to scanner, it doesn't respond. I have to click on the actual icon for it to work.

read full review »This Canon PIXMA MX310 All in One Printer is outstanding. I have had it now for almost a year and it has never disappointed. The instruction manual is very easy to understand and helpful. Making copies with the scanner is as simple as using a normal photocopy machine: Put your paper in and press the "copy" button and start, printing as many as you want.
It scans into files, it faxes, and of course, the normal printing features. I have never had a printer before that was so easy to change the inkjet cartridges on. It simply snaps into place and is ready to go. The paper feeder holds...

This inexpensive printer is suitable for printing text, but skimps in other areas: There's no LCD viewer and it's one of the very few models without a memory card reader.
