Definatly not for the non techie consumer

3

My boyfriend who is the technologically conscious one in our relationship purchased this printer. I admit that while it works great it is not easy to use if you are not very good with electronics. It took me forever to try to find where the paper went and there are so many buttons that make this printer overkill for the general consumer. If you do a lot of professional printing or scanning then by all means purchase this printer. The ink cartridges seem to last quite a bit longer than I expected. I however just want my HP version of this printer back. Performance Professional, flawless print quality Copy Quality Professional, flawless copy quality Ink/Paper Use The ink last quite awhile Ease of Use My techie boyfriend loves this printer. I however being as capable as most general consumers find it confusing and all the buttons and features overkill and irratating Durability Very well made. Design Very well made but bulky and takes up a lot of space.

Workhorse of a printer

This is a good family printer. It prints photos and can be used over the wireless network. Which is great for on the tablet or laptop computers. I would prefer if the ink wasn't so costly. Ink/Paper Use There are 5 cartridges in this unit. The cost of ink is something to keep in mind.

Good printer at affordable price

Printing quality is very good, on both prints and copies, and can duplex. It scans well, from flat bed or from document feeder. It's not very fast for anyone used to the speed of devices intended for office use, and the paper cassette doesn't hold much. However, the manual paper feeder accommodates several different paper sizes and types. The documentation is sometimes a little hard to understand. Performance The device does not work very fast, both scanning and printing, but it is adequate for home use and the quality is very good. Copy Quality The quality of copies and prints are both very good, both in color and in black and white. Ink/Paper Use Paper use is as good as the user's ability to change page ranges and use duplex printing when possible. Ink use is pretty average. It seems to go through color ink a bit faster than black. Ease of Use It's pretty easy to use. It supports WiFi connectivity, so it can be setup pretty much anywhere. It's actually a fairly large device, bigger than the pictures suggest, so make sure you have enough room for it. Durability It seems to recover from paper jams and misuse pretty well. Design It's black, shiny, and pretty well designed.

It does a great job on printing, the quality is excellent but there are some problems. It's all black and the surface is a big dust magnet. It's pretty annoying. The ink usage is bad. We don't even use this printer very often but I have to keep extra ink on hand because it goes through it very very fast. It's not overly expensive but the costs add up when you figure you don't get a lot of sheets out of a cartridge. Although it does a great job on quality, the reason for the 3 rating is because of the ink usage and the scanning process is cumbersome. Performance I find the scanning cumbersome. The other issue I have is when I print something I don't want preset sizes many times. There are times I need something to print exact size especially if it's really tiny. I do a lot of miniatures. I want the option to put many things on one page. Copy Quality It does a beautiful job on photo paper. It does a great job on faxing and on copying. Ink/Paper Use The printer does a great job overall but it sucks ink like it's just being poured on the ground. Ease of Use One issue with this printer is it often wants to print from the rear tray instead of the front. The rear tray is convenient if you just want to use a couple sheets of photo paper and not have to change the paper in the front tray but it should be something you choose on your own instead of defaulting to the rear tray at times.

Best All-In-One Printer On The Market Hands Down

5

Hands down the best all-in-one printer on the market in this price range. Performance Works flawlessly and effortlessly. Duplex printing can be a little slow, but no big deal. PHOTO PRINT QUALITY IS OUT OF THIS WORLD - amazing, vivid and lifelike. Copy Quality Outstanding copy quality, with quick operation and a number of options including reduction, enlargement, black and white copies, color copies, collated copies and duplex copying. You can use the glass platen or the automatic document feeder. Ink/Paper Use Saves paper with a wonderful duplex feature. Another reviewer said ink use is heavy, but that is not something I have seen. Ease of Use Insanely easy to use. Has a dual function touchpad-when using fax, touchscreen becomes numeric "keypad" for dialing. When not faxing, touchpad is used for navigating choices for other functions. Very clever. Menus are intuitive and clearly laid out. The darn thing does everything but press the "Start" button and load the paper trays. Durability Front paper tray area seems a little flimsy and needs to be handled with care. Design Has two paper trays-very nice feature that allows you to load photo paper in one and 8 1/2 x 11 in the other. Top loading automatic document feeder. Dual function touchscreen. A little large, but not overly so and it has a sleek, modern look that looks great at home or in an office.

Complete printing, copy and scanning needs, very good machine.

Simple to use, good interface, intuitive, handles all of our office needs perfectly. A very durable machine. Performance Exceptional quality output handles whatever you need it to do. Copy Quality You pick it, it will copy in draft or photo grade. Ink/Paper Use A little heavy on the ink but cheaper per page than most competitors. Ease of Use Simple easy to follow instructions. I only read them once and I get the machine to everything I want. Durability Thousand and thousands of copies and printed document. This machine does not quit. The only thing we have to do is refill the ink. Design Not a pretty machine, but it does everything and all the controls are easy to find and read.
