I've used this battery and it works fine. But they don't last as lond as I'd like. I used mine for 1 year. It's great that it is rechargable. I bought 2 and rotated them. Used one while the other was charging. Canon is a great brand, but I'm sure a generic would work just as well at a lower cost.
