Canon - MP11DX Desktop Printing Calculator Review

This calculator is a  high speed, 2 color, printing desk size calculator. It has useful and sophisticated features for the busy professional.  It incorporates profit margin calculation keys that allow you to calculate the selling price or discount, based on the cost and desired profit margin.  It also will automatically calculate sale tax via the tax keys.  You can store a tax rate that you frequently use for fast and convenient access, thus eliminating many steps of your calculation.  The machine also has a built in clock and calendar function that allows you to view the time and date on the LED display or print them out as needed.

I especially like the large, easy to read display.  The machine has seven different decimal point positions and prints in both black and red (black for positive, red for negative). It can print up to 12 digits and has a rounding function.  It is electrically powered and the measurements are 9" wide by 13 " long and 3" high.  The machine has a one year warranty.

 After two years of heavy duty business use, the machine is still going strong.  The only maintenance items are the paper rolls and ink ribbons.

My only complaint is the noise produced when the machine prints.  I am a creature of habit, and I must have the printer function on the machine turned on, or I do not feel comfortable.  If you do without the print function, it will be noiseless.

I am pleased with the durability, dependability and functionality of this calculator and would recommend it to anyone who needs a desk size calculator for their home finances or business.
