Canon - EOS-5D Body Only Digital Camera Reviews

The 5D is a fantastic professional camera. It's reasonably priced compared to some of the other choices out there, and unlike Canon's 1Ds series full frame cameras, it's not going to eat up your hard drive with impossibly large picture files, even in RAW mode. It's flexible for all your needs-- I've shot weddings with it one day and horse racing the next.

For those of you who shoot indoors without flash, it practically shoots in the dark-- clean images with minimal noise at ISO 1600+. What noise you get looks like film grain.

This is one of the greatest things ever in my opinion for both professional, and amateur photographer. Af least, it was for year 2006. 

And I am very happy to tell everyone that many of my current works for magazine are actually using this wonderful camera. 

There are several distinct advantage using this camera in the professional environment. 

1. They are affordable full size sensor camera. Output quality will meets most of requirement given by the client. 

2. Battery is interchangeable with 20/30D, so it is ideal candidate for 2 camera configuration with 20D/30D.

The Canon 5D is a great camera. I have been a avid fan of photography for years and have been increasing my caliber of digital cameras as time has gone on. The 5D is a far leap from my first point and shoot digital cameras from years ago. The image quality is amazing as well as the new HD video shooting option. The video is crisp and clear with fairly good color attention. While I did notice a bit of color noise in the video, it is a small setback for having HD video recording capabilities in this already powerful camera. I am a professional wedding photographer, so I'm always looking for the best! My main camera used to be the Canon EOS-20D, but since I got the Canon EOS-5D, I would never go back! It is such an improvement from the other EOS cameras, you can see the difference so easily comparing pictures. The sensor is very high quality, and the colors in all the pictures are so vibrant! wow. the canon is by far the best camera ever. I love the zooming options and everything. omg this is a really good item. I really like it and its really cool. yada yada yada. why go on when really theres nothing else to say but its really good. cant wait for the next camera.
