Great perfomance

Comments about Canon - EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i with 18-200mm lens Digital Camera:

I have been using this camera for 2 years now and couldn't be happier!
My pictures always look very professional and well-made.
I think the shutter speed could be faster, but for this price it's probably one of the best cameras on the market, so I let it slide. It also works great in low-lit environment, the pictures look very bright.

Best Camera for amateurs looking to upgrade...

By

Comments about Canon - EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i with 18-200mm lens Digital Camera:

I received this camera for Christmas this year, and I haven't left home without it since!  I love being able to snap moments in my toddlers life with a quick snap of the lens.  My old camera took so long to actually take the picture from the time I pressed the button, that I often missed those priceless expressions.  I don't have that problem now!

This camera features 15.1 Megapixels, and that is plenty to blow up your pictures to large sizes.  It also gives you enough detail to edit your photos and still be able to print them as 8x10s.  The included zoom lens also gives you options to go from zoomed in to zoomed out quickly.

There are many options on this camera, and it can be intimidating to operate at first.  I found tutorials online, and bought some SLR for beginners books.  After a few weeks of tinkering with it, I felt my pictures had greatly improved.  I would highly recommend this camera for an amateur looking to upgrade to an SLR.

A downgrade from most recreational cameras

Comments about Canon - EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i with 18-200mm lens Digital Camera:

I wanted a more professional camera from my old and beat up **Kodak EasyShare P712**. My husband bought me the **Digital Rebel T1i. **This was such a disapointment. The lack of zoom, video, and speed was the first things I noticed. To set up live view is almost enough to make the most laid back photographer scream. Moreover, the photo quality in low light is pitifully lacking. It was a nightmare to create any night photography. Firework photos were dull and lifeless. Depth of field seems to be an ongoing issue with all the preset options.  I am not happy with the wieght of the camera, but there are a few perks that I do enjoy. The shooting options are simple and easy to used. The ability to change lenses is also nice, if I can afford it. I think i would rather get another Easyshot, which would be cheaper than a good zoom lense. What can I say bad about my old camera? The wierd toggling button that turns the Kodak on/off as well as takes photos, was a stupid design. I do not miss that.

Canon Rebel T1i Digital Camera makes digital photography easy.

By

Comments about Canon - EOS 500D / Digital Rebel T1i with 18-200mm lens Digital Camera:

This camera is the best.  My daughters dance and I often cannot get clear pictures with regular cameras because of the rapid movements and my distance from the stage.  With the Rebel T1i, I get a crystal clear picture no matter how fast they are moving.  It used to be that I couldn't get close enough to even be able to tell who the picture was of but, with this camera I can get close-ups of everyone from across the auditorium.  I love my camera and I have had absolutely no problems with it.
