Most HelpfulI had wanted an SLR camera for so long but wanted the best for my money. I was never aware that they actually sell them without lenses! I was torn between a nikon and a Canon, however, I decided to get the Rebel XTi 10mpx. Wow...I am the type of person that always cuts off peoples heads in photos or...

Most HelpfulI really love my Canon Rebel Xti. This is a great starting camera for anyone who would like to start a profession in photography or just people who take a lot of pictures! The color quality is amazing and the menu is very easy to use. I think a couple things that I didn't like about this camera is the...

I wanted one of these forever. I searched online and saw the photo's of this camera. The best feature is that, even on auto, it takes great pictures. nothing is blurry or out of focus. I know very little about photography and can still use this and get great photo's. The camera itself is a bit big, but you adapt to that. I do notice, that you must get an external flash for it, otherwise inside pictures don't come out as clear as outside ones do. The best feature is as your skills grow, you can buy tons of different lenses for this. The kit lens is a beginner lens and it's a nice one. You can grow...
read full review »I've been using this camera for almost two years now. I chose it over it's earlier version (XT) because the self cleaning and the handful of other extras seemed worth a little more money in the long run. It works perfectly. The instructions are easy. I take very good care of it. So, I can't say it'll take a beating. But, it's lasted and I've never had any trouble. It takes beautiful photos. If you don't know photography, the automatic settings are worthy! But, it's great fun to learn more as well! It's been quite the adventure and I'm glad with my purchase!

I bought the first Cannon EOS400/Rebel XTi, for my daughter. She is taking a photographic course in College. Gee did I got jealous, this is a superb camera; lightweight, easy to use from the box, has lots of utilities only read carefully, almost no delay it has all and at a great price. So I went and bought mine. My relation with digital cameras wasn't improving until this one. I was using a Pentax F-1 with a couple of lenses and some pocket digital cameras in some occasions. But now I think there's no turn back, this camera is so easy to use from the box out, and pictures are great believe...
read full review »I purchased my Canon EOS Rebel XTI a year ago and was very hesitant since it is not a cheap camera. However, after using this camera for a year I can tell you, without a doubt in my mind, that this is the BEST camera I have ever used. Let me just say, right off the bat, that I am not a professional photographer, I am a mom with two children who loves taking picture of my kids. I am also not into complicated, hard to use camera equipment. This camera is so easy to use, and allows you to take pictures in every possible situation, simply by turning a dial. You can take portraits, night photos,...
read full review »Though I am not completely technology challenged, I am no wizz when it comes to high tech stuff. But I don't need to study the manual for my Canon EOS Rebel SLR camera to get good pictures. My kids are involved in ice hockey (tough place to take pictures as the ice reflects the light, the kids move fast and often you have a dirty glass between your camera and the players) and horse back riding (lighting in the arena is usually pretty bad and those big horses do move fast). However, it did not take me long to be able to change the setting on my camera to adjust to difficult lighting situations (especially...

It feels really good in the hand and has all the convient features that make it easy to use.
I really appreciate the automatic sensor cleaning technology now in the 400D. Every time the camera turns on or off the internal sensor is cleaned. This keep dust from building up on the sensor which can create blurry or spotted pictures. This saves money on cleanings and extends the life of the camera and lens attached.
Like the other EOS Cannon Camers it has the ability to use over 50 different lenses and a wide selection of accessories....
read full review »The Rebel Xti Digital SLR Camera is user-friendly. For beginners, there are auto settings that can be used to make snapping pictures easy. For people who want to branch out and use the more advanced settings, Canon features those settings also. The RebelXti has a built in lens cleaner that keeps dust off the lens. The lens that comes with the camera is adequate, but purchasing a better quality lens enhances your photography experience. The manual that is supplied with the Rebel Xti is easy to read and comprehend. You may also purchase from a bookstore, a more indepth book...
read full review »I have always had a camera. I love taking pictures but I am definitely an amateur when it comes to photography. I bought my first Canon camera many years ago, probably 15 years ago or more. It was a great camera and I had it for years before I upgraded to a Canon Sure Shot Supreme with a zoom lens and built in flash. I have one daughter and she played sports, was a cheerleader, had lots of activities in which I used my camera and kept photo albums and was always happy with my pictures from my Canon Sure Shot. My daughter grew up, got married, and now I have two beautiful granddaughters, who I love...
read full review »The canon rebel xti is fairly easy to use. The picture quality is great. The photo editing software is very good and pretty easy to use. When using the Canon rebel xti camera in modes other than automatic, the camera is very good. I would recommend reading through the user manual, as it has a whole lot of very useful information regarding the many functions of your Canon Rebel xti. The information listed in the user manual is fairly easy to understand and the photos in the manual help to show you excatly what to loof for in the different modes. I am a novice when it comes to digital photography,...
read full review »We have owned 35mm film cameras for many years. We love taking pictures. It would be common for us to take at least 1500 pictures on a vacation. The problem is, we couldn't preview the pictures and would take several of the same things or of the same peoples pose just in case someone was blinking etc. I, the main picture taker, went screaming and kicking to look at digital cameras. I felt disloyal to my 35mm that I loved. I was talked into trying the Canon eosd 400 rebel. I have to say, it was nice to know that I could just click away knowing that I was not wasting film. In testing...
