I purchased this camera after my daughter got hers. We both love it! This is a user friendly camera and it makes great pictures! You can get additional lenses to fit if you would like the zoom to be stronger. There are many accessories you can get for this camera. I like the picture quality and the light weight of it.

I have had the Canon DSLR Rebel XT for 2 years and I love it. I am a definite Canon girl and I probably won't change. It is a great camera that has grown with me and is still growing. I have learned everything on the camera includnig how to shoot in manual. If you go with a SLR and want to stay in a budget this is the camera for you. All lenses that I have had have worked great, it is easy to interchange. Also for the 2 years I have had it the battery has lasted a long time and through hours of photography shooting. Takes wonderful shots and has helped me grow my photography.

The only real drawback is you do have a lcd screen, but it is only to view pictures not to actually take pictures. You have to use the view finder to take them.

I bought this camera to take pics of my kid and family events. This camera takes awesome pictures. My kid plays basketball and this camera take awesome action shots.

This camera is the best! I am not a professional but let me tell you this camera is well worth the money. It has so many features for all different types of photos.

It can be a little overwhelming at times with all the functions available but I just keep the pocket booklet in my bag and pull it out when its needed. Some of the functions I still have yet to learn but the user book is very reader friendly and like I said it also has a pocket booklet that you can keep with you for any time.

I can tell such a difference with the pictures that I have taken from my last camera to this one. The pictures are so clear and crisp weather it is still or action; I get the best shot every time. This is by far the best camera I have owned.

I keep it in my vehicle all the time so that I always have it handy in case I see something that I want to take a picture of. It fits into its litte bag and is never in the way. I love this camera and would recommend this to anyone!

The Canon Rebel XT allows everyone from a beginner to the more advanced picture taker to frame beautiful pictures. We have done everything from scenic pictures blown up to 18x20 to family Christmas cards to family vacation photos with the camera. In taking pictures there are several modes including one for moving objects which makes taking such pictures much easier. The screen on the camera makes it easy to determine if you want to keep or throw away most pictures in order to keep your memory card available (some still look fuzzy on the computer screen). I did buy an extra lens but would not recommend buying one without the image stabilization in the lens-this is not inherent in the camera as I understand it is with some others and it is very difficult to take a good picture without it-apparently I am just a really shaky person. I also noticed that additional lenses are very expensive so be aware if you are buying this camera and want additional lenses, they come at quite a cost....

I am a professional photographer and I absolutely love taking beautiful pictures. This camera is great because I can use it for my business and personal pleasure. It is not to heavy to take on all my family vacations without being burdened down.

I love taking pictures of everything but I mostly love taking pictures of my children..wether it be their sports, awards programs, field trips or just playing around having fun together. On vacation I will average taking 1000 pictures of my family. I like having alot to chose from especially when I print them out to put in the scrap book.

This camera has a timer setting that I use when taking family christmas pictures etc. The camera itself is very easy to understand and the manually walks you through it step by step. It has the option of taking black and white prints or color. The sports setting is awesome. I have gotten some of the best action shots that you would not get with a regular camera. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone....

Okay, here we go.

This camera is the Canon Rebel XT, also known as the Canon 350D. I purchased this camera a while back as my first Digital SLR camera (as this was many other's first DSLR). It was also my favorite SLR although it was quite a bit small on the hands. It has a very small 1.8" LCD Screen, also the same as my Canon 20D, but that's fine for me. It's packed with 8MP, so you can definetely get great quality prints with this camera.

This was actually one of my favorite DSLR's ive used (I've used Canon XT, XS, 20D, 40D, 50D, 5D, Pentax K100D, Nikon D40, Nikon D60, Nikon D300). It's actually the simplicity that brings about the love in this camera. I don't think any other SLR in this world makes it so easy to learn Photography as it's simply so user friendly. To change aperature, simply hold down the aperature button located near the LCD screen and scroll the comamnd dial. Could it be harder than that? To change the shutter speed, simply scroll the command dial! That's how simple...

The Canon Digital Rebel XT (350D) is a great entry level SLR. It consistenly takes fabulous pictures and is great for beginners and experts alike. I have been learning photography with this camera for the last 2 years and have been very satisfied with this camera. Take the time to read the maual and get to know your camera, you won't be disappointed. In the last few years, they have made some improvements to this model such as a larger screen and more megapixels but even so, this model is still wonderful. I have noticed that the color of the screen is different from the actual color so you have to know what to look for when choosing your settings. I now just automatically adjust for this small difference when I choose my settings. Navigation is very easy to use and the settings that I constantly refer to such as ISO, aperature, shutter speed, and white balance, are right at your finger tips. All in all, the best entry level camera for the price!

This is truely a great camera. I have used other cameras, but this is my favorite so far. I am a portrait photographer and I use this camera at work. As portrait photographer not only do I have to be great at using the camera I have to get the kids to look and smile as well. Which is no always so easy when you have one hand occupied, but with this camera it is not to heavy and has a good grip on it. Which helps when Im leaning in and tickling the kids to make them smile. Also kids are quick! You need a camera that can snap fast and not blurr the picture and this is a camera that can do that! Aside from all the pros for a photographer it is great for everyday people just taking pictures. Its durable and easy to use with lot of features! Enjoy!

I am rather partial to the Canon brand for cameras as that is what I've grown up using. I absolutely loved my Canon 35 mm - SLR that when it was time to trade up to a digitalI felt comfortable sticking with this company. I have yet to be disappointed with the quality of photos and the flexible use of this camera. From the average Joe who can point and shoot, to the seasoned photographer this camera will make everyone feel like a professional. I like that I can change out my lenses easily and they were compatible with my 35mm. Although the prices were rather high when I first purchased my digital EOS it was worth every penny that I paid to capture all my memories. The cost has come down considerably the past few years. The durability is outstanding on this camera too. Being a mother of two young children, my poor camera has seen more than it's share of bumps and bruises. I have hit it against a counter top, dropped it on the floor and many other scary hits, but it's held...
