I'm a fairly new SLR user. I researched for over a year, before deciding to purchase a Canon 350D/Rebel XT. I bought my baby for Christmas 2008. Since then I have taken THOUSANDS of pictures. My poor computer is getting slower by the second. I've always been snap-happy with a camera in my hands but, point-and-shoot digitals were slowing me down. No more! With my Rebel I can shoot about 6 frames per second in action mode... which I will say drives my family absolutely insane! They don't appreciate their personal paparazzi. My daughter, however, loves the attention!

I'm still playing around with...

I love this camera Rebel XT I think it's good for beginners, I just can't stop taking pictures. When I first bought it it was pricey but now it's cheaper, I would recommend it to any beginner.

I am on my second Canon Rebel XT and I have carried it daily for more than three years. I am a journalist by profession, now an editor of a magazine. I use the camera for sporting events, portraits, mug shots, news photos, scenics, wildlife shots and more. I am a published photographer and known for my wildlife (loons) and scenics (foliage, wilderness). But I also use it in production when working on feature articles. It's versatility to shoot macro and widescreen is an immeasurable help. In production, you have to have high resolution  pictures, and I routinely use work that is cover quality,...

I've had a few canon type cameras, anything from 35m to small pocket point and shoot type. I love the warrenty they offer. Its lightning fast with out alot of blurryness going on with it.Its a long respectable company. Specially when you start to see alot of commericals. Its a known name brand of very many photographers around the world. I love finding deals with canon. They offer so much with any camera you get. So much your almost over whelmed with the box and the stuff inside it. I like the extra lens and cd and free prints it gives you when you first purchase your canon. Theres so many out...

I am a professional photographer and I absolutely love taking beautiful pictures. This camera is great because I can use it for my business and personal pleasure. It is not to heavy to take on all my family vacations without being burdened down.

I love taking pictures of everything but I mostly love taking pictures of my children..wether it be their sports, awards programs, field trips or just playing around having fun together. On vacation I will average taking 1000 pictures of my family. I like having alot to chose from especially when I print them out to put in the scrap book.

This camera...

Two years ago I took a trip to Alaska and wanted a good camera without a good price. I did a bunch of research on the internets and based on price and reviews bought the Canon Rebel. The price was a bit steeper than I originally wanted, but since it was the trip of a life time  I took the plunge. I have not regretted the decission one bit. Because of the large megabite size I was able to enlarge photos without losing resolution. In fact, in some of the photos I took of a grizzly bear you can see a lot of the details and I took the photo at quite a distance, which I'm sure you can believe. I did...

Okay, here we go.

This camera is the Canon Rebel XT, also known as the Canon 350D. I purchased this camera a while back as my first Digital SLR camera (as this was many other's first DSLR). It was also my favorite SLR although it was quite a bit small on the hands. It has a very small 1.8" LCD Screen, also the same as my Canon 20D, but that's fine for me. It's packed with 8MP, so you can definetely get great quality prints with this camera.

This was actually one of my favorite DSLR's ive used (I've used Canon XT, XS, 20D, 40D, 50D, 5D, Pentax K100D, Nikon D40, Nikon D60, Nikon D300). It's actually...

I researched and bought a Canon XT camera. I have never regretted it. I loved the fact that there were so many different lens options and the things that I can do with this camera and supporting software. I bought this camera at an actual camera store and not a "box-store". I wanted to talk to someone who knew cameras and all the different aspects of them. Plus, I wanted to be able to take my camera to the same store if I needed any kind of assistance. The Canon XT was the model of digital SLR camera that I could afford at the time. They are not cheap by any means and if you are serious about...

I have always own either Canon or Nikon SLR in the past.  Recently, however, I ventured into the DSLR world and I'm now wondering why did I wait too long.  I love it absolutely.  Take as many pictures as you like and you can see the result immediately.  I have a couple of Canon lens from previous cameras and they fit perfectly with my new Canon DSLR.  The focus is fast, accurate, and silent.  My camera can take 3.5 frames per second which is more than most people will ever need.  I consider myself a more advance amature photographer and this camera has all the features I would ever want...

I am rather partial to the Canon brand for cameras as that is what I've grown up using.  I absolutely loved my Canon 35 mm - SLR that when it was time to trade up to a digitalI felt comfortable sticking with this company.  I have yet to be disappointed with the quality of photos and the flexible use of this camera.  From the average Joe who can point and shoot, to the seasoned photographer this camera will make everyone feel like a professional.  I like that I can change out my lenses easily and they were compatible with my 35mm.  Although the prices were rather high when I first purchased...

I must say that the Canon Rebel XT is a great choice for ANYONE that wants great quality pictures and an easy to use, versitile camera!

I am a photography student and bought the XT in November of 2008 and think it was an excellent purchase. I shopped around and really loved the reviews for Canon as a whole. Went to the store to check them out found that it is pretty lightweight (compared to other DSLR's), tons of features plus the easy to use auto features and specialty features such as motion, landscape, up close, portrait, etc.

The options are seemingly endless for lenses so you don't have...

I have always use Canon products but always just the point and shoot. I got the Canon EOS Rebel as a gift two years ago and have loved it! I had researched other manufacturers but wanted to stay with Canon for the quality and familiarity. It was a big step but the transition has been fun.

The Eos Rebel has automatic settings for the beginner and a complete ability to manually control all settings. Anyone can take a great picture with this camera. The settings range from landscape,to portrait to macro so you really can shoot any subject.

With one or two additional lenses your rig is complete,...

My Canon Digital SLR Rebel XT goes everywhere with me.  We looked at several types of digital cameras.  We decided on this brand for many reasons.  First we had already owned a Canon powershot that was about 7 years old and it was getting slow.  Second, I love having the interchangable lens.  I have about 3 different zoom lens.  All my lens have auto focusing on them, which I need.  I recommend that to everyone.  There is a little screen on the camera as well, but you can not use that when taking pictures.  You have to use this camera like and old style camera. However, you can still view...

The Canon Rebel XT allows everyone from a beginner to the more advanced picture taker to frame beautiful pictures.  We have done everything from scenic pictures blown up to 18x20 to family Christmas cards to family vacation photos with the camera.  In taking pictures there are several modes including one for moving objects which makes taking such pictures much easier.  The screen on the camera makes it easy to determine if you want to keep or throw away most pictures in order to keep your memory card available (some still look fuzzy on the computer screen).  I did buy an extra lens but would...

The camera came with Canon 18-56 mm lens.  This is adequate for routine photos, including indoor shots of my family and cats.  It yields fairly good wide-angle shots, though they are not spectacular. I obtained a Tamron 28-200 mm lens to go with my Canon Rebel XT and it has become by far my favorite lens.  I shoot a lot of nature shots: flowers and birds, mostly, but I photograph and wildlife I see and also am building a roadkill collection.  This lens has a close focus of 2-3 feet and with the zoom, one can get incredible shots of flowers.  The Rebel allows any thing from total manual control...
