Okay, here we go.
This camera is the Canon Rebel XT, also known as the Canon 350D. I purchased this camera a while back as my first Digital SLR camera (as this was many other's first DSLR). It was also my favorite SLR although it was quite a bit small on the hands. It has a very small 1.8" LCD Screen, also the same as my Canon 20D, but that's fine for me. It's packed with 8MP, so you can definetely get great quality prints with this camera.
This was actually one of my favorite DSLR's ive used (I've used Canon XT, XS, 20D, 40D, 50D, 5D, Pentax K100D, Nikon D40, Nikon D60, Nikon D300). It's actually the simplicity that brings about the love in this camera. I don't think any other SLR in this world makes it so easy to learn Photography as it's simply so user friendly. To change aperature, simply hold down the aperature button located near the LCD screen and scroll the comamnd dial. Could it be harder than that? To change the shutter speed, simply scroll the command dial! That's how simple it is.
People do say the Rebel series sucks and all, but the XT is probably the BEST Digital SLR to start out with. I highly recommend it. Once you've learned composition and learned about your camera, you'll be more flexible and you'll be able to move into a prosumer camera with more functions and it'll allow you to become more flexible with your newer DSLR. But this camera body, this one is an excellent choice and I can recommend it any day to any user at any time.
I do give it a 4/5 because it just didnt feel right in my hands. It was pretty darn small... But it's still a great camera.
