I purchased the Canon 30D almost a year ago and use it almost everyday.  This is a great mid-priced SLR that will make you happy you bought it.   If you are just getting started the auto feature produces sharp pictures.  If you are a little more savvy the programmable settings are easy to understand and use. The auto focus is quick even in low light.  Information in the viewfinder helps to change settings on the fly to quickly compose for changes in light or speed.  If you are more familiar with SLR use there are many features to use and save your own settings.  The pop up flash is very...
