Canon - Digital Rebel XT / EOS 350D, 18-55mm Lens Digital Camera Review

About 3 years ago my husband bought me the digital rebel.  I fell in love with it immediately upon use.  I had a film slr rebel in the closet where it has sat most of the past 5 years.  I think I had broken out for about 5 occassions during that time but did not use it alot because of the cost of developing, instead I just used my little digital olympus that I could slip into my pocket easily and download to the computer all the shots so I didn't have to worry about getting bad shots.  I used my new rebel and immediately fell in love with the speed.  I even went so far as to buy a tri-pod, an extra battery, an extra 4 gig memory card, a remote (which now needs batterys again) and an external flash (that I use rechargeable batteries for).  My camera came with 4 different size lens including a wide angle.  I love how fast it will take pictures.  My husband bought me a small digital canon to carry in my pocket and while it does just fine it is not nearly as quick to take pictures and I actually have missed shots with it that I could have gotten with the rebel.  I use the rebel for important events and my sons sporting events. I will say I have 2 soft shoulder carrying cases, 1 hard carrying case and 1 soft backpack carrying case - I love the Backpack case the best because I can throw it on my back and it does not interfere with picture taking like the bags do.  I love how easy it is to take pictures and that I can zoom as close as I want/need.  I still get complments on the camera and everyone loves the picture quality.  I used it this past christmas to take pictures of all the kids to make the grandmothers throws with a picture of the kids on it.  They could not believe the quality as the throws were life size.
