I used the Canon Rebel - film version - for years before I switched to digital. Great for amateurs, nice professional camera as well. I bought the first digital Rebel as soon as it was available - my daughter still uses it - the two batteries I bought for it were $75 each and four years later they hold a charge as well as when they were purchased. She is 11 and has used a Rebel from the time that she could hold it in her hands. It is excellent for beginners as well as advanced camera users. I bought a higher quality, more powerful zoom lens because I am very picky - but the original lens works well for most photos. I would never buy a different digital camera. Why bother to look when you already own the best?
