somewhat tech savvy
Pros

    6.5 fps capture rate, excellent autofocus system, larger rear LCD, two control wheels instead of one

Cons
    wee bit heavy

2008
I upgraded from a 20D and a 10D before that.  Each time Canon has added improvements that made it worth the upgrades.  I don't use all the features because I just haven't taken the time to learn them all.  So for someone who wants incredibly great pictures of fast moving wildlife animals, this camera is perfect.  It makes me look like a pro by just using the standard features!
