My husband and I went to Canoe for his birthday last week. After hearing rave reviews. While the atmosphere was nice, and food quite tasty, I was disappointed. It wasn't as awesome as everyone had led me to believe.

If you go, go during the day, half the charm of this place is the view of the river, and at night you simply can't see a thing. Request a river view when you arrive. And order the seafood, it's delicious.

Very classy and nice atmosphere. The waiters impress with the lists they learned to rattle off for the night down to the tiniest hints of spices.

This would be my first pick for a special occasion.
