I was looking so forward to trying this soup. First of all, I love Butternut Squash, and 2nd of all, V8 has a good reputation. I truly assumed this would be a healthy and flavorful soup. Wrong on both counts.

I've only tried the Butternut Squash flavor, so I don't know if any of the others are any better....

V-8 needs to stick w/juices--this is not their 'bowl of soup'

I wanted to try this because I love Butternut Squash and I also love the original V-8 Juice. My best friend bought me this flavor and the Broccoli & Cheese. I was at my office the day she brought them to me. I was going to work late so I decided I would go to the kitchen and microwave this soup; which by then I was really anticipating.

First things first, the cardboard-like container is difficult to open. The instructions say to lift flap and snip corners. Well, I'm in a kitchen, not at my desk. I don't have scissors to "snip" the flap so I grab the next best thing--a steak knife. ...

Small Vegetable Flavor

I love to eat soup especially in fall when the weather is colder, so I was really excited to try this new Campbell's V8 Golden Butternut Squash Soup. I am vegetarian, so I am always on the lookout for a vegetable based soup and this sounded like a winner. So I was really disappointed at the flavors with this soup. There isn't much of a squash taste, just potatoes and it is really thick and rich. It tastes pretty bland, so I added my own vegetables to it and it made it taste better. I love squash soup and was so excited to try this. We drink V8, the fruit kind and love it, so I thought the soup would be good, too . Campbells's V8 Golden Butternut Squash soup comes in a box, not a can. Really, it has all the makings of a great soup. A great company, a full serving of vegetables, no preservatives and butternut squash! In a box!

But sadly, for me anyway, this soup is just mediocre in taste. The texture is not smooth and creamy, but more like soft oatmeal. I could deal with that if the flavor was there. This Campbells V8 soup is so bland, I had to put a lot of salt in...

Butternut squash soup. I also love the other V8 soups. I have tried other brands and they are so bad compared to your soups. I'm usually not a soup eater, but I tried them with a coupon and I'm loving them.
