I was leery about trying Campbell's Select Potato Broccoli Cheese soup because I had Campbell's Select Creamy Potato with Roasted Garlic and it was just awful.  My husband convinced me to try this and I can say, it's not half bad, but it's not 5 star either.

The Soup
This is one of those soups where you don't have to add water.  The 18.8 oz can holds 2 servings, but I always eat the whole thing since it is my lunch.  This won't fit into a bowl, so I always bring a small microwaveble tupperware to heat it up.  In 3 mins or less, I have hot steaming soup!

The Health
If you eat the whole can like I do, you're looking at 8g of fat, 240 calories, 1780mg of sodium, 36g of carbs, and 6g of protein.  All of these things are perfectly acceptable for a healthy lunch, except the salt.  Canned soup always has way too much salt!

The Taste
The soup tastes... ok.  When I had the Creamy Potato with Roasted Garlic variety, I couldn't even eat 1/2 of it because it was so bland and gross.  This one is noticeable better and I can eat the entire can, however it's still somewhat bland.  I can't really tell whether or not there is really cheese in this since I can't taste any!

I like the large chunks of potatoes but the broccoli chunks seem really small so I can hardly tell I'm eating broccoli.  I've had Progresso Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Chowder which is awesome, so Cambell's variety just doesn't compete.  Although I know Campbell's variety is much healthier than Progresso's, I am still hunting down the Progresso version!  I can't seem to find it anymore at my local Kroger.  I'd rather sacrifice more fat and calories and get something that tastes a lot better.

In the End
I would try this again if I'm craving potato soup, but only if I can't find the one from Progresso.  This soup isn't awesome, but it's not awful either and it does satisfy my potato soup craving.  After eating the whole can, I am definitely stuffed!  It makes for a semi-satisfying lunch, but I usually want a piece of candy or something else afterwards just to get some flavor!!  Enjoy!!

If you can make it, you should. I really don't know how to which is why I still buy it.

This sounds interesting. I guess I will just make my own though. I like 5 star soup (-:
