Anyone who has just read my emotional review of Campbell's Tomato Juice won't be surprised to learn that I like THIS stuff too ... an 11 oz. can of Campbell's V-8 Vegetable Juice, a loaf of bread, and Viggo Mortensen beside me in the wilderness would be enough for me!
Campbell's considers an 11 oz. can to be one serving which contains 70 calories with zero calories from fat, zero grams each total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol, 880 mg. sodium, 720 grams potassium, 15 grams total carbs, three grams dietary fiber, ten gram sugars, and three grams protein. review »My late father drank a 6 oz. glass of V-8 for breakfast as far back as I can recollect. Just looking at the stuff made me absolutely cringe.
And then I grew up. :-)
V-8 contains a great deal of sodium and a great deal of celery seed, so it's not for everyone, especially confirmed plain tomato juice drinkers. I happen to find the greatest appeal in the very things that "aren't for everyone". I very much enjoy a cold glass, and it's not unusual for me to buy the little six ounce can packs, and gulp a can down for breakfast.
