Calypso Resort and Towers by Waterstone Resorts - Panama City Beach, FL Reviews

This was my first time going to Panama City. I decided to stay at this condo/hotel because I wanted the option of using a kitchen. When I first walked into my room, I was so surprised! It was fabulous. It was like a home away from home. The condo was spacious and had so many comforts of home. A great gourmet kitchen, a large balcony that overlooked the ocean and the bathrooms was awesome. I rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo on the 22nd floor. My boyfriend and I had a great vacation! The Calypso Resort and Towers, PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL was located way from the busiest section of town, but only a few minutes drive from everything we wanted to see/go to. As a newer facility, it was in great condition and was well cared for. The pools and beach were very commfortable and the condo was fantastic, especially given its elevation and view. I drove from the St. Louis area all the way to Florida and even though I arrived a few hours early, the staff at Calypso did their very best to get me situated in a room a.s.a.p. The room I attained was amazing, the view was amazing, and every room I saw had something a little different to it. The people I met while staying at the Calypso were simply all around stand up people and I still keep in contact with them. The Calypso Towers was an absolute dream. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our every need from hooking up our wi-fi to light bulbs. The suite was better than expected and dvd rentals and having reserved beach chairs and umbrellas on their PRIVATE beach were great touches. This resort is centrally located, but away from the regular PCB crowd. Supermarkets, Target and Walmart were just 10 mins away. The view was outstanding!!! My family did not want to leave. We had trouble with the air conditioner in our condo, but the staff were VERY prompt and courtious in helping us correct ther problem. Our family kept calling it home, we certainly could have stayed for a while longer. Well worth the 4 1/2 hour drive! This was my first time to the Calypso in as well as Panama City Beach and there will definatley be more visits to come. In my opionion you can't do any better for the money. The view is perfect and every unit has a balony with a view of the Gulf. Also the washer and dryer in our suite was a big plus as well. The Waterstone Calypso exceeded my expectations, it was this or a regular hotel and I'm glad I picked the Calypso. At check in time I was upgraded. My kids slept in bunk beds and we had 2 full baths. What a wonderful place to stay. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The condo was bigger than a small home. Very roomy and very clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
