Calvin College Review Summary
Liberal arts colleges are often small in size and there are hundreds of them located throughout the United States. One small liberal arts college that many might find to their academic liking is
Calvin College. This university is considered very good for its challenging educational standards and for its small class sizes and more personalized feel. However, professors at Calvin College are very demanding and have high expectations of students, and this could be considered both a pro and a con. Calvin College offers “Challenging Classes with Professors and Students Who Care” and while it is small in size and thus a little lacking in the social scene arena, Calvin College still rates highly among liberal arts
Colleges or Universities.

a serious student, a college grad, deans list
Calvin College is a wonderful place to get a liberal arts education. I loved the small class sizes, challenging work, great faculty interaction, and warm community. Extracurriculars are uniformly high quality and enjoyable--athletics, music, clubs, etc. The core curriculum is quite extensive, but I love that it introduces you to subjects you might never have encountered otherwise. If you're looking at professional schools (medicine, law, etc.) after graduation, Calvin students' acceptance rates into grad and professional schools are outstanding. I couldn't have been happier with my college…

a good test taker
Calvin was a great school and I feel that I received an excellent education there. But, it was expensive when I attended in the 90's and I am certain the price tag has gone up since then. As with all things, I suppose you get what you pay for - I'm still in debt, but I received a better education than I would have at my public university. Also, if you are not a religious person, this is probably not the school for…
