I purchased this set of pans 1 year ago. It is the best set I have ever purchased and I hope it is the last set I ever purchase. They come with a lifetime warranty that is better than most warranties I have seen. They are so well made I do not think I need the warranty but it is great to have the reassurance. This set of pans cooks evenly and the non-stick coating is high quality. The handles can get a little warm so test them before grabbing them. I found the sauce pan lid handles get very work when boiling food inside them so use caution. I would recommend this set of pans to everyone who loves to cook. Heat Distribution These pans heat evenly. It is suggested that you allow them to heat up slowly instead of cranking up the heat to heat them quickly. I agree, they cook better if you allow them to heat up slowly. Ease of Handling The handles can get a little warm while using but not so hot they burn you. I suggest using them with caution.

I have always had nonstick pans, but they have never been from the same company. I have noticed many nonstick pans look good when you first buy them but quickly become cruddy if you put them in the dishwasher. So far I've been very happy with how well these pans are holding up. Doesn't Stick Thus far, I haven't had any food stick to the bottom of the pan. It always helps to use some olive oil spray to make sure, but so far these pans are great. Heat Distribution the food is cooked all the way through and very evenly. Ease of Handling I love the handles, they aren't too bulky but not too thin either making it very easy to grab. Ease of Cleaning It is dishwasher safe. Design sleek. Durability I didn't give it a "5" because I've only had these pans for a short while. I'm hopeful they will continue to hold up as well as they have thus far. I use them every day and so far they are doing extremely well.

I thought that by buying a well-known brand like this that I would be getting high quality cookware that's been tested in everyday use.  The functionality of the pots and pans are great... non-stick, even heating.  But what I was a little disappointed with is that the handles on the pots/pans as well as the covers get hot so that you must use a potholder to handle them while cooking.

My husband and I received this pan set as a wedding gift, and we have been very glad ever since. These pans are great to use because of the superior non-stick surface, which seems to be even more non-stick than any other I have used yet. Even when cooking rice and other very sticky items, the Calphalon pans allow all the rice to slide out without getting stuck to the sides. I also like how evenly the heat seems to distribute across the surface of the pans, and the variety that this pan set come with. While these pans are rather expensive compared to some of the other sets with similarly sized pans, I think the Calphalon are definitely worth it. The only complaint I've had so far is that sometimes food gets kind of stuck to the outside, and it is nearly impossible to scrub off, after that it kind of burns in to the pan and makes a rather gruesome looking stain. I suppose this may also have something to do with my oven, though, and so am not too worried about it. I'd recommend these to almost anyone.

I love to cook and I like using non-stick cookware almost exclusively, its easy to clean and you do not need to use much oil when cooking. The set may not be needed by most people but I find each piece in this set to be very useful and an excellent size. I also purchased the high sided pan to go with this set and find I use that a lot as well. Splurge and buy the calphalon utensils to use with the set as they are good quality and do not scratch the pots and pans. Please don't put these in the dishwasher! You should need to as they don't need to be scrubbed, they clean easily and a quick hand wash is all you need. The problem with these is that personally I find that with those pieces you use most heavily (ie the pans) you really need to replace them every 2 years or so, which I think is fine. Maybe people who are much more careful cooks than I will not need to replace them so often but I do think they get scratched and lose their non-stickness over time.

We got the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 8 Piece Set for a wedding gift from my favorite aunt and uncle. I can't say enough about this set. Every pan and pot is used all the time in our house! They are the perfect everyday selection for a young couple that loves to cook. This eight piece set has been great for us. I love the frying pans and the sauce pans and the big pot is perfect for soups, stews and any big serving of pasta we are looking to make in large quantities, which is quite often! I've only added one more pot (2 1/2 quart size) in the two years since we've been married, because this set really does serve all of our needs. The best part is the nonstick coating, which is amazing. I rarely have to do more than run a scrubby sponge gently over the pot or pan to get EVERYTHING off of it, even if I've left it out for a few hours. This makes life so much easier! I highly recommend this whole set, and the entire contemporary nonstick side of Calphalon!

Growing up, my Mom used to rave about her Calphalon pans.  As a result, when the time came to get a new set of pans for our family, I definitely wanted to get a set of Calphalons.  Well, we have had mixed results with them.  Overall, they seem to work fine to cook, boil, and fry whatever foods you wish.  They also seem to wash well by hand, and I have never had to soak a pan to get food off a pan.  However, these pans are not without their drawbacks.  Within one year of purchase, the large fry pan started peeling and got progressively worse.  Soon thereafter, the two sauce pans did the same.  We called Calphalon, and they sent replacements.  It arrived within a week, so great customer service!  Unfortunately, the large fry pan has started peeling again... again about a year after purchase.  I'm not doing anything weird with it except for cooking with it almost every night.  Overall, I do recommend these pans, but add a caution about the large fry pan.

I received the Calphalon Contemporary nonstick 8 piece set for Christmas several years ago and love to cook with them.  I love to cook and do it everyday.  These pans hold up to the damands of an active family and cook evenly.  This set comes with several omelet pans, a 10in fry pan with lid, 2 saucepans, and one large stock pot with various lids.  It is a nice set and will meet the needs of most people and families. I wish it came with a 12 inch fry pan as the 10 inch pan is used everyday and almost at every meal at my house... it is definately the most worn.  After owning these pans about 9 months I noticed the inside of several pans were either scratched or peeling. They had been cared for properly (never washed in the dishwasher) as well as using plastic utensils only on them.  Anyway, I called the company and they returned the defective pans and shipped me brand new ones with lids.  Great customer service! You have got to love a company who stands by their product.  I have had no troubles with the new pans or the ones that were not returned.
