I love California Baby bath and skin care products for my daughter, so I decided to give the calming shampoo and body wash a try. She hadn't been sleeping all that great, and I figured using this in her bath might help. The actual shampoo was every bit as natural, gentle, and effective as the unscented product, unfortunately we found that the scent of this product was just way too overwhelming for us. I think if they were to tone down the scent and make it significantly more subtle this would be a great product. Performance This shampoo and body wash gets my daughter clean quickly and easily. A little goes a really long way, we have the large bottle and I think it would last the average child at least two or three years, Scent Unfortunately the fragrance in this shampoo and body wash is a real deal breaker for us. It is incredibly strong and overwhelming sand left me with an awful headache,

I know this product is labeled as a Baby Bodywash, but I have been buying it for quite some time for my teenagers. They use it as a facial wash. It is extremely gentle, and reduces the redness of their skin, and helps dry up their acne. I know you are probably wondering why I would buy a baby wash for teenagers. I have done quite a bit of research on soaps, acne washes, and baby products. I have found that all soaps, and acne washes contain harsh ingredients that really aren't that great for the skin. Baby products, especially the California Baby Calming Shampoo & Bodywash is extremely gentle, and contains moisturizing properties that not only clean the skin, but also nourish it. This product has a gentle, fresh fragrance as well. I can always tell when the kids have been using it. They smell wonderful! It is a little pricey, but not much more than an acne wash. I definitely recommend it for kids of all ages, including teenagers!

I knew from the start that I wanted organic - the less chemicals on my baby's skin, the better! I heard a lot about California Baby from fellow mommies. They swore by the California Baby products. I decided to give California Baby shampoo/body wash a try. I immediately loved the creamy yet light lather as well as the refreshing scent. My baby seemed to enjoy himself as well - he was very relaxed. After that first bath using California Baby, I was hooked! I purchased a large pump bottle of the shampoo/body wash, and I disposed of the other baby soaps I was given as gifts. I prefer organic. I prefer California Baby. I recommend this product to all parents!

I was very skeptical when I received this from a friend, but it really does work great. It cleans great, and it leaves an awesome scent that seems natural and not artificial. The best part about it though, is that it really does have a calming impact on a baby. I have no idea what it is, I guess the aromatherapy, but my baby cried so much less while using this.

We have been using this exclusively on our little one for the past 15 months and have only great things to say about it! It is gentle on the skin, leaves baby fresh and clean, and helps me to feel confident that my baby is using the very best! Performance It lathers beautifully, smells delightful, and seems to really calm my little one and help him settle down for bed every night. Scent I love the scent! I was always very careful about the soaps and shampoos I used for my babies. I wanted natural ingredients, and nothing too perfumed or harsh. I heard a lot of talk about California Baby products, and when I found them at my local supermarket I decided to try the Calming Shampoo and Body Wash. It is a little pricey, but it may not be something you use at every bathtime. Performance This product does a great job of cleaning baby. It lathers well (although the lather doesn't last long, so it doesn't make a good bubble bath) and rinses off cleanly. I also love the idea of the little pump, because sometimes you only have one hand free to apply soap to a washcloth. Scent I absolutely love the scent of this product. It's light, but pleasant. It's designed to be aromatherapy to relax baby, and I have to admit to feeling relaxed while bathing mine. Although it can fill the room with a pleasant scent, it doesn't linger long on baby's skin after bathtime, which I liked.

I used to use California Baby Calming Shampoo & Bodywash on my children all the time! It was a great product, and I loved the fact that they actually cared about the ingredients that they put in to their products, and the families and children it had affected. However, almost two years ago they decided to change the formula and are now including sodium benzoate in their washes. While I wouldn't say that sodium benzoate in anyway is a bad ingredient, when it was added to the body wash it did make my son's eczema worse, so I had to discontinue the use of this product. It still smells great, and works great as always, I just can't purchase it anymore due to the fact it hurts my son's skin. If your child has no sign or dry skin at all, I'd say give the product a chance if you want to pay the price (which is rather steep), but other than that I'd say skip it. There are many other brands on the market that offer natural shampoos and body washes that are better.

I have 2 kids with sensitive skin (exema). I like this product and my kid's skin does well with it. It doesn't irritate their eyes either. I use is sparingly as it is expensive. So I'll use baking soda for a bath, then nothing, then this for the 3rd bath (so twice a week) to save money on it. The packaging is nice on the product and I like that its in squirt bottle form.

My newborn daughter kept getting a rash after bathing her with the Johnson & Johnson's lavender body and hair wash. Wanting to try something natural and still keep the lavender scent we switched to this (which I wanted in the first place) and not a rash since. It doesn't bother her eyes and it smells so good on her and in my bathroom!!

We have used a couple of different baby washes with our little one and we've been fairly happy with this one. We were gifted it as part of my baby shower. I like that it is a natural product, a little goes a very long way and it washes very easily, gently and causes no tears when used as a shampoo. I'm not too crazy about the scent. We have another baby wash that smells like Calendula and I have missed that when using this. Overall, it's a great product and a good workhorse wash for our house.
