I received my first container of Caldesene protecting powder at my baby shower from a friend who has a lot of child experience. My son took years to potty train so this powder was amazing the entire time! He only got a mild diaper rash once in three and a half years and I really believe it's because of this powder! If you notice even a little bit of irritation especially after tummy troubles this powder was great for preventing any diaper rash. It helps treat and prevent diaper rash very well and the powder form makes it easy to use. I still have a bottle of this powder even now that my son is older and potty trained because everyone of any age experiences some irritation sometimes. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone of any age who suffers from irritation. A little goes a long way with this powder so although it can be a little pricey it is worth it!

I sometimes get a rash between the cheeks of my bottom. It is not because I am big, only weigh 119 lbs, but it is because of Florida living. I have tried various creams, but the best results for me is Caldesene Protecting Powder. It comes in a pink container, and the net weight is 4 ounce (113 g). It states for helping with, 'diaper rash, prickly heat, chafing'. The top of the container has a circle in the middle, and a 'press' on one half of it. When I do this, it lifts the other half, and there are 5 tiny holes, where the powder comes out. The powder is white, and smells just like baby powder. I shake a little into my hands, and dab it between my cheeks. It goes on like silk. It keeps me dry, and free from feeling uncomfortable. A container of Caldesene Powder lasts me at least a year. Can't beat that. Performance Stops wetness forming.

The american academy of pediatrics recommends AGAINST using talc powder on babies because of the tiny particles In The dust cloud that gets inhaled and causes breathing problems from difficulty breathing up to even pneumonia!!! It hasn't been proven that powder helps clear or prevent diaper rash. Your best bet is to go with a cream or ointment such as Aquaphor. In addition to breathing difficulties, talc powder has been liked to ovarian cancer and causes vaginal irritation if it gets inside. I guess there's nothing that says "I love you" more that increasing your little girls chances in developing ovarian cancer later in life. The only reason I give this product 1 star is because I have to in order to submit this review. If this site let me I would give it no stars.

I am the mother of three very beautiful boys - three beautiful boys with extremely *sensitive* skin. This means they are prone to breaking out in diaper rashes much more often, so as I can say from extensive experience that I have been through the gamut of rash remedies. Of course I've given all the brand name creams on the market a go, and they all work *okay* but not great. Budreaux's butt paste is what I have relied on mostly the last 2 years or so, but even that takes a couple of applications before it really starts to clear the rash. However, upon the birth of my third son, I received a sample of Caldesene rash powder, which claimed to not only treat diaper rash but also *prevent* it from happening in the first place!! This was the exact remedy I needed - especially for my second born who has the most sensitive skin out of all of my children. And I didn't have to wait too long try it out because the poor kid (on no account of me because I change his diapers frequently) broke it in a new rash. I sprinkled the powder all over his bum and by the time I went to change his next diaper, the rash had significantly gone down. And then by the third diaper change, it was pretty much GONE! And I now use the powder between ALL diaper changes and it keeps his skin super protected. Diaper rashes are a thing of the past now with Caldesene powder, and that makes for three happy boys and one ecstatic mommy! :)
