Good tasting snack and works well as a topping for a salad

4

I don't know that these are so healthy but they taste great as a snack and really dress up a salad when used as a topping. I appreciate that they do not include MSG in the product as I have to readily admit. I am addicted to these and they are perfect to take with you on a outing at the beach or to a ball game. They are available in different flavors and I seem to like them all. What I really like is that they have a light powdering of salt, five grams of protein, and my favorite thing they are not quite as greasy as chips. The down side, you can't eat just one and while they might be considered somewhat healthier than potato chips, so when the bag is emptied you realize that's a lot calories in a bag. I try to just keep them on hand to use as a topping for salads but they seem to call my name when I have them in the house and truthfully the few grams of protein don't justify them as healthy. I find them a little on the expensive side but they call my name as I go down their isle and I find they just seem to jump in my basket.

I enjoy Snack Salad Snapea Crisps. They are not super healthy, but they are somewhat healthy, probably better than a lot of other options. I like to eat them alone, they are also good with certain dips and as additions to other meals. I throw them in salads, in pastas, and in trail mix.

A delicious snack

These snapea crisps are so surprisingly good. They have an amazing light but crunchy texture, the perfect level of salt, and great flavor. Definitely a good alternative to something like potato chips, but I think they are a little bit more expensive.

Great taste & fiber to boot!

I love the taste of these Snapea Crisps; when they changed the packaging, I was worried that there would be a change in recipe too, but I was pleased to see that there was not. These aren't that much healthier than other snack foods, but they do have fiber (3 grams per serving) and the first ingredient is peas. Only get the original flavor, the Caesar Salad one isn't good.

"Snapea makes me feel brand new!"

The 1st time i saw snapea product was at our break-room at work. It was there as a sample for employees to taste test. Of course it didn't look right to me at first ( the snapea crisp snacks), but curiousity took hold of me and i forced myself to try apiece...hmm, very interesting (the taste), took another piece and another..and another more..this is delicious! this taste is for me...I love it!

Misleading label

1

The bag and picture and also the name suggest something tasty, healthy, and somewhat veggie-like in taste. I also assumed from the bag that these contain vegetables (most likely peas or some sort of vegetable flours or powders). They are not healthy, contain only a trace of vegetables, and neither the taste, nor the texture tastes like peas. They are just like regular crackers of chips, without whole grains. And the have artificial ingredients and food coloring, too boot. Always be sure to read the labels, not just look at the name and picture--they can be misleading.

My kids love these!

My kids love to have these with their lunches.  They are really tasty and I feel like they are getting a little vegetable.  Moms know how hard it is to get them to eat vegetables.  Every little bit counts!

Snapea Crisps are strange but wonderful.

*"How," *TunefulPal asked, "do they *make* these"?     Well that's a good question since these green peas are baked, kinda oily, and, on first try, taste a little like what I'd imagine styrofoam would (if I were into eating styrofoam).     By the fifth pea, both of us are hooked.  Twenty-two pieces makes a serving of 150 calories and eight grams fat (one sat.).  That seems like plenty until you realize you've downed the whole bag of 3.3 servings.  That's easy to do.  The bag weighs only 3.3 ounces.     Trader Joe's has the best price where I live.  Von's (Safeway) also carry them.  We've tried only the Original, but there's also a Caesar.   Oh... and keep them in a safe place.  Dog Shelby tried one and was even more motivated than usual about having *more*.

Addicting and somewhat healthy!

Like another reviewer, we buy these yummy snacks at Trader Joe's when we are near one (not in our town). They are so delicious and healthier than potato chips or other addictive snack foods. I don't mind feeding them to my small kids because they think they are a special treat and they aren't as nutritionally worthless as other foods they could be eating. If you haven't tried these, make a point to! You will be glad you did!
