Actually tastes like a piece of fudge.

For the last couple of years, when I go to see my gynecologist, he reminds me that I need to be taking calcium supplements. I am not a good vitamin taker. I'll be diligent for a couple of weeks, and then stop taking them. However, I decided that I might have better luck with a calcium chew than with a pill. When I went to the grocery store to look for calcium supplements, I saw the chocolate fudge variety of CalCet chews. They were more expensive than the generic brand, but on the package they actually looked appealing, so I decided to give them a try. Opening the package, the pieces truly look like small squares of fudge. Even better, they taste and have a texture like fudge. I felt like I was cheating and having dessert rather than a calcium supplement. It's probably a little sad that I have to be tricked into taking my vitamins, but I actually found myself looking forward to my little square of CalCet in the morning and after dinner. The only downside is that this brand is more expensive than a generic brand, but I do think that the taste makes the extra expense worthwhile, especially for someone like myself who will look for any excuse to stop taking a supplement.

Cal Cet Calcium Chews - AMAZING

You know you want to do right by yourself, so you make sure you get a balanced diet and supplement with those things you know you need.  One of those things is Calcium.  We don't get enough of it in our diets no matter how good you think you're doing....its not enough.  Recommended amount is 1500 mg daily.  Maybe you've had a Dexa Scan and the results are Osteopenia or worse Osteoporosis or maybe you're lucky and everything is fine.  There are however, 2 kinds of Calcium.  Carbonate and Citrate.  Without getting to technical, Calcium Carbonate needs stomach acid to convert it to usable Calcium Citrate, the kind our bodies absorb and use.   Most people take this kind and have no problems.  Why not go right for the good stuff and use Calcium Citrate ?  My story is a bit different, in that I've had Gastric By Pass (did quite well)  and now have compromised digestion.  I prefer to go right for the good stuff, which is why I take Calcium Citrate.  I also need to take quite a few 'other' supplements to keep everything else in good working order and because of that taking alot of pills, sublinguals etc gets old fast.  I have to admit that I became very lax in getting "in" my required amount of Calcium.  I tried soooo many different kinds and flavors and types and nothing seemed to do the trick that made me 'want' to take them. AT LAST......CalCet Calcium Chews.  The manufacturer is the same one that used to make another famous chew then sold the formula to someone else who then tried, but they didn't do as good a job and there were 'issues' with the final product.   These are **LEMON CHIFFON CHEWS** and are amazing !!  Not to sweet, just enough to make you think they're a 'treat' during the day.  You MUST try them.  You'll actually look forward to taking your Calcium !! They are not widely sold in all stores yet, but can easily be found on line directly from the company.  (www.missionpharmaceutical.com) or type in CalCet and you'll get a link.
