Very unpredictable service

I've been a customer for many years and have always received shoddy service. There is always some sort of service interruption ranging from cable to Internet to phone (yeah I have Triple Play). These interruptions are hardly ever explained or resolved in a timely manner. Oat least three times I have lost cable and Internet service for about a month. Phone service was patchy. I to reschedule appointments because the techs that came out could not fix the problem and no one seem to know who actually could. Can you imagine a communication company haveing trouble with internal and external communications!!! How ironic!! Not to mention I racked up an incredible cell phone bill in the mean time. Because of unexplained surges in amperage, the outside box and wires caught fire and the neighbors called the FDNY who cut off the burning box. When Cablevision was informed of what transpired they were upset and wanted to know why the FDNY cut off the box!!! Plus they said all tenants had to call(using cell phones) and report the problem to have their individual wires reattached. I'm stuck with Cablevision until some other company offers better service in my neighborhood. The Triple Play is convenient but once there is service interruption you are inconveniently left without a phone. The Optimum Rewards are nice. But all in all Cablevision is seriously inept at what they do and the service they provide is in dire need of improvement.
