I've found this works just as well as the name brand non-drowsy cold medicine. It costs less and has the same active ingredients. Since cold systems can last for days, it's impossible for me to miss that much work. I like to take this to help relieve the symptoms during the day. It definitely keeps me awake and it relieves the aches and pains from a cold. It also helps with sore throat. The cough suppressant works ok, but it seems to wear off quickly. The nasal decongestant doesn't work at all for me. I have to take an additional product for my stuffy nose. If I take this as soon as I get up, I usually feel pretty good until lunch time and then I need another dose. By evening I'm usually worn out and have no trouble getting to sleep. The only other thing about this product is that is tastes awful. I down it quickly and follow with a lot of water. I'll brush my teeth after that. This usually takes care of the taste and within half an hour, I'm usually feeling better and more alert.
