CSI Review Summary

CSI is considered the "best crime drama ever" and "one of the best shows on TV today" according to our reviewers. The original CSI series (others include CSI: Miami and CSI: New York) is sometimes called CSI: Las Vegas just to clear confusion of the other series. No matter the city it's originating from, it "keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out the whodunnit." Reviewers like that they not only get to see a good crime drama, but also get to become involved with the characters, "keeping the audience interested. While most enjoy all the incarnations of CSI, they prefer the original, mostly became of the character of Grissom (William Petersen). Marg Helgenberger stars as well. Reviewers consider the series based in Las Vegas to be "the first and the best."

CSI--the original CSI:

I am so glad the Sara has 'left the building'. I do not and did not like her on this show. And to put her and Gil together, gross, ick, puke, etc. She should have been gone a long time ago.

As for Warrick (sp?), he needs to hook up with Kathryn. That would make some good storylines. Nick needs to hook up with the new CSI (can't remember her name).

I love all three CSI shows.

I try to catch all of them, but sometimes miss some. I can't really say anthing bad about any of the three, now that Sara is gone. They all rock!!!

While I love this show and Grissom - it is still trying to get on it's footing since coming back from the writers strike BUT it still keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out the who dunnit.

Not sure what to think about Warrick leaving the show - do not know how that will leave the cast scenerio but hopefully it will not be so disruptive as to lose the bases for the show - crime solving using latest (scientifc and not) technologies.

This show is moving entertaining as well as educational. You get to know the characters so well. Grissom is a complex man but finds humor in almost everything.  His dry humor and excentric ways draw you in.  I know if I was Sarah I'd married him LONG TIME AGO !! You never get tired of this show and you never know what weird case will turn up next.  The other CSI'S have nothing not even a match to hold to the original its the best.

My fiance bought the 1st 2 seasons and i just happened to start watching them. It has quickly turned into one of my favorite shows. The twists and turns in the story makes it feel like your watching a new movie every episode. If you haven't started watching it i would recomend doing so

I have been watching csi for about 3 yrs now and I love the show. am a so happy grissom and sara are finally together, it took them long enough to write that story line into the script. I think I would like to see other cast members get together as well. what happened to warwicks wife ?one show she there then she's gone. I love the way grissom is so weird sometimes he says the darndest things, but thats him. out of all the csi's this one is my favorite. I also like to watch  csi miami, I just started watching it so Iv'e been watching the reruns to catch up.

I've enjoyed this show tremendously! It's one of the regular shows that I watch faithfully. I've also watch CSI:NY and CSI:Miami and they are both real good but CSI the original is still my favorite. I just love Gil Grissom and the way he interacts with the CSI crew, the public and his own problems. This show can pack a TON of action, thought provoking situations, problem solving, and a good crime to try to solve. I find that the writers are very good about medical terms, body anatomy and medical procedures that show up in the show. I'm a medical professional and it does my heart good to see things... review »

If you love mysteries and police drama you should cosider watching CSI.  I have watched all six seasons of it (and have them on DVD so I can rewatch my favorite showes when I like) and am looking forward to this seventh season.  This is the original of the three CSI shows.  I think they've done a wonderful job with the cast and are fairly good at thinking up good thought provoking mysteries.  I love learning how CSIs do their job even though I know it takes a lot longer to run DNA and things of that nature in real life. As a scientist (I have a masters in biology) I think they do a fairly... review »

CSI has ended up being one of my all time favorite tv shows... Monday nights my son and I watch CSI: Miami and are always pausing to make guesses. On Wedsnday nights its CSI:NY  which took me awhile to get use to but now never miss an episode. Then there is Thursday nights CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which has brught the whole family together. It is something about how they make everything more real for the fans and not always simple or a happy ending. As well as the character have real life issues to deal with on top of their work. Hope this helps. If you want a good show with a little of... review »

One of my favorite things about CSI are the special effects.  The plot never leaves me disappointed either.  The investigating in between is always a thrill to see and hear.  The fact that you can see what they are thinking or talking about it exceptional.  The actors are sexy and buff.  This show is one of the most powerful primetime shows that there is on television.  The one character that is the most interesting would have to be Gil Grissom for his interest in insects to his love for his team.  My heart doesn't quit pounding when i see CSI.

CSI is the original, the one that started the spin offs.
CSI is a fast moving and often can get a little far fetched in the story lines. But I guess it would be hard to keep coming up with new crime stories.
Sometimes it does get a little to sexy and dark for my taste.
The story line can get far out and unreal at times.
I do like a good mystery though and CSI usually comes through with a twist at the end. I still find myself interested in this program even in the reruns.

The actors are superb, plots are interesting and all parts of the program are entertaining.  The writers do a great job keeping the entire episode interesting enough to view the whole thing.  The background story lines that carry to the next show are subtle yet very well written and the season endings have kept a viewer coming back to see what is to come in the following season.

This show is by far the best crime scene series. That's just it, I love how it is in series and not just one episode. You feel as if you are a part of the show, helping to solve the crimes. Though sometimes you know it's not as simple as it looks they break it down and show you how to solve the crime. It also invlolves the characters peersonal lives so, it's like two shows in one.

CSI is the ultimate! The original is my favorite. I don't do anything on Thursday nights so I can be home to  watch my favorite show! You get interested in the show and throughout the episode, you are guessing and yelling out answers to the team's questions. I thank my sister for getting me hooked years ago!!! NEVER take it away form me!!!!!

CSI is good but in reality the crime scene investigators don't spend anywhere clost to the amount of time these guys do on any crime scene.  Reality is there aren't enough tax dollars to support this kind of investigation.
