CROCK POT SCVPS600 Slow Cooker Review

When my 3 year old accidentally broke the insert to my crock-pot I began searching for it's replacement.  Having a family of seven using a crock pot is an easy way for preparing a meal for any size family while being able to leave the house for work or to run errands and such.  I chose this particular model for several reasons.  My old crock pot was in the classic style where you were only able to choose low or high.  I like the fact that with this model you have the option to have it run for a certain period of time on either heat setting.  Another feature that was quite aggravating about my previous crock pot was that the lid did was not able to be secured unless you wanted to rig up a bungie cord.  Hence if you were transporting something in the trunk and the lid shifted you were sure to find some of your dinner all over the floor of your trunk!  The locking lid with this model prevents that.  It is also a wonderful safety feature if you have little ones around so it can keep nosey hands and fingers from getting scalded by hot food.  As with all crock pots the insert is easily removable and is entirely dishwasher safe.  If you are looking to replace your outdated model with a new one I would highly recommend this product to you.
