Most HelpfulI grew up at the end of the world. Well actually, to get to my parents' house, you go to the end of the world, take a left, and go down about 8 miles (if you don't believe me, go to Mapquest, pull up a map of zip code 71320, and see how many times you have to zoom out before you see anything you recognize). ...

Most HelpfulI have always been a Time Warner customer and thought that when I moved to Lake Forest that I would be able to transfer my service to my new home. Unfortunately COX cable is now my cable provider. I have never paid so much for little service. At Time Warner I had premium movie channels, 1 HD DVR, and 3 regular DVR plus Internet and my bill was approximately $140-$150 a month. Now that I have to have Cox cable, due to high prices. I soon will be paying $120 a month for 1 HD DVR, 1 regular Box with no DVR, Internet, and no movie channels. I feel that Cox is way overpriced and I hope that someday...

We have lived in eight different CATV areas, and we have also had our own dish and receiver, company supplied, we've used DirecTV, Dish Network, we even used a tower signal company. First, I hate any company that supplies you with "your own dish". That means when it is full of snow you get to go climb on the roof or up the ladder to sweep the snow out or you don't have a picture, but you still have a bill! If it is raining, which it does a great deal where we live, there...
read full review »COX lies all of the time about its free High Defintion programming in their commericals. The COX programming does not cost anythng extra directl;y but in order to access the High Defintion channels such as movies and music you need to pay for a monthly fee on each box for all channels over 101 channels. If you do not have a box, which you have to rent via them, you can not get any of HD programming so it is not "free" no matter how many times it states it. Rather than charging for HD programming COX is charging an access fee PER TV.
The only equalizer is that other service mediums other...
read full review »In our area (suburb to rural area just north of Baton Rouge, LA) our TV Cable Provider is Cox Communications, formerly Cox Cable.
We have Basic "Extended" Cable. I cannot fathom WHY not just call it BASIC since you cannot get just BASIC anymore anyway. We have No Movie Channels as we cannot afford them.
Our televisions are 10yrs old or older by decades. Cable Ready, but NOT Digital or High Definition by any means.
Our Cable TV Service has been reliable for the most part. With only having to CALL for SERVICE maybe twice in ten years; and only outages caused by severe tropical storms, hurricanes...
read full review »COX COMMUNICATION IS AN OVERPRICED PRODUCT WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE THEM FOR MY HOME AND BUSINESS AND BECAUSE OF ANOTHER FIASCO WITH THIS COMPNAY I AM DROPPING THEM FROM BOTH MY HOME AND MY BUSINESS!
I WILL PUT THE WORD OUT!
I PURCHASED A BUSINESS AND DECIDED TO STICK WITH COX BUT THEY DECIDED AFTER I SIGNED TO INFORM ME I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PREVIOUS OWNERS BILLS! GOOD THING MY ATTORNEY HAD IT IN WRITING THAT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. COX DID NOT WORK WITH ME ON THIS AND SAID BECAUSE I SIGNED I AM THE ONE GOING TO PAY THE OLD OWNERS BILLS OFF.
WELL COX - ONE I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE...
read full review »Overall, Cox Communications is a very good reputable company. It provides great service, good customer service representatives, and good efficient technicians. They always care about your needs whenever you call them. I think they are one of the best in the business that I know about. One thing that I would like to see improved is having more movie channels, more family show programs. Programs that bring joy and encouragement to people. A lot of the channels are for sports fans, poker fans, and reality show fans. Not everyone is interested in paying for channels that we do not...
read full review »its a shame cox sucks, but they all do! As americancs we should be used to third or forth rate service! We have asked for it for over a century, so I guess we have nothing to complain about. As far as Cox Sucking, we have the "fastest" internet package available for Meriden Connecticut, Meriden is a city but it is full of unemployed people, so what should we expect, a higher than average bill for somewhat average service, it is fast, it is as fast as Comcast, difference is the price, if you are Tech savy, get a T1, if you can afford it, and if you live in an area that Cox Serves, try to save for...
read full review »I've now had Cox for 2 months. The internet service is OK, although the advertised high download speeds don't seem much better than the DSL I previously had. Also, their so-called professional installation fees are absurdly high. The installer was here for ten minutes, during which he plugged in the modem and used my bathroom. The TV service is seriously deficient. The HDTV channels are good, even though there is a messy and slow process in switching channels. The problem is with the digital, non-HDTV, channels. The sports channels, such as ESPNU--not available on HDTV--come across...
read full review »Cox is good for internet... but they should stick with just that!! Their cable tv service is not reliable and forget about them being able to resolve problems. They strongly lack on customer service and really seem to not be capable of following through!
Cox cable /internet = good
Cox cable TV = NIGHTMARE!!!!
