COX - Cable TV — 

I have always been a Time Warner customer and thought that when I moved to Lake Forest that I would be able to transfer my service to my new home. Unfortunately COX cable is now my cable provider. I have never paid so much for little service. At Time Warner I had premium movie channels, 1 HD DVR, and 3 regular DVR plus Internet and my bill was approximately $140-$150 a month. Now that I have to have Cox cable, due to high prices. I soon will be paying $120 a month for 1 HD DVR, 1 regular Box with no DVR, Internet, and no movie channels. I feel that Cox is way overpriced and I hope that someday soon a different cable provider will come to the neighborhood.

Customer Service: When I picked up my boxes at their center I asked the representative if I owed anything. He said NO and that I would be billed next month. When I finally received my bill 1 month later it was $250. I was being charged for 2 months and told I had a very overdue payment. How unfortunate that I never received the bill for the starting service but did however receive it on my 2nd bill.

I absolutely despise COX... Oh and on top of everything else... I had problems with my service between the hours of 8:30pm till about 11am for a whole week until finally they came out to fix my entire blocks receiver.

You have to complaintt to the local City Hall, the cable companies are eegulated by them, or, you can send an e-mail to Washington here is the address fccinfo@fcc.gov

I must chime in , i found this random searching google, no idea how many see this BUT i have the same BS experience.

COX cable internet and tv are horribley prices..$110 a month for basic tv and basic cable internet ***!?!?!? and most of the time it doesnt work!!!

i get no signal to internet and then my televisions look fuzzy they say its a bad modem i say not a chance in hell, i tried 3 modems all the same occurance...OH but when "high-speed" internet is working the tvs work crystal clear...Hm imagine that.

when it drops they go back to grainy and fuzzy.

APPARENTLY they have no techs on duty when i call in, gotta wait a day...A DAY!?!?! are ******* kidding me? im paying this much for so little and they cant even prompt a support agent out there? what ajoke, i hate cox its horrible, more areas need choices not this nazism communist bull**** that is cox...and they are what they eat!
