I remember my dad always used CLR Bath & Kitchen Multi-Surface cleaner for the bathroom when I was younger. The smell is HORRIBLE. But when my husband and I moved into our first house we kept getting spots and build up on and around our faucets and drains, that I just could not get off. I was in the grocery store one day when I noticed the CLR and thought, hey, that's what my dad uses, it must be good. And it is. I came home, sprayed it on and around the faucets and drains, and left it on a few minutes. I came back with my scrubby sponge and and started wiping. To my surprise, the film, spots and build up were just easily wiping away. No scrubbing needed! So now I use this at least once a week to keep everything looking shiny and from the nasty hard water build up from coming back. Of course the smell is still over powering and nasty, but it really works well! It's now and "old" favorite and we always have a bottle on hand.

I've been using CLR Multi-Surface Cleaner for a long time. I love it for bathroom and kitchen. It has a good pretty thick foamy spray that doesn't just run off after you spray it. Performance This cleaner works great in the bathroom and in the kitchen. I use it on bathtubs, sinks, showers, and to get hard water stains off faucets. It works best with a brush or something a little bit abrasive, and it doesn't take a lot of hard scrubbing. Just spray it on and leave it for a few minutes, then come back and wipe it off. For really bad hard water or calcium buildup, it might take a little longer or a little more elbow grease, but if you use it on a regular basis you won't have to deal with buildup. Scent The scent can be a little strong if you don't have a fan or some way to ventilate the area you're cleaning in, but it isn't as bad as some of the bleach-based cleaners I've tried. I never get a headache from it or anything like that.

I've only lived in our house for a year and a half. We have hard water. Nothing seemed to get rid of the film the water was leaving. So I decided to try this. It worked great. I did spray on and let it sit for a little while. Then when I went back and cleaned the hard water deposits were gone!
