I am a huge fan of CHI products and even though they are pricey they are worth it. My hair stylist recommended that I purchase this iron as I have super crazy, insanely thick, ethnic hair. I need to use professional quality hair products and CHI seems to be the best out there for my hair. I got the one inch iron as some of my hair is short and it allows me to get even the shortest pieces of hair straight. The way the iron is designed it has a safety feature so the sides are curved to help protect the heated ceramic plates which allows me to get closer to the roots which gets my hair to lay even more flat and I rarely burn myself. The ceramic on the plates hasn't cracked or worn down except in one super tiny spot but it doesn't make a difference. Other irons that I have used extensively, the ceramic has worn down and even cracked at times which gets strands of hairs trapped and breaks them or will get clogged up with product and will burn and make the iron smoke up and smell terrible. Also I find this iron gets much hotter than any other iron I have used which actually makes my hair stay straighter longer. I used to have to flat iron my hair every other day or every day if muggy out. Even if the weather is muggy or if I go to the gym I only have to straighten my hair 2 times per week 3 if I have a special event where I have to look perfect. My straightening time has also been cut down which is fabulous. It used to take about an hour to straighten my hair and now it takes about 25-30 minutes. I only have to run the iron over my hair 1-2 times as opposed to 4-6 times in super small sections. I still section my hair but the heat really penetrates and I can use thicker sections with less swipes to straighten my hair. This has reduced the amount of breakage that I have as well. I use the CHI heat protection spray before using the iron and the combination of the two makes my hair super soft and silky and STRAIGHT! You will not regret purchasing this iron and it comes with a warranty in the box as well so don't worry about it breaking. They are durable and crafted for your ease and protection so you don't have to worry at all. Effectiveness I have crazy hair and this iron manages to get it straight and super silky soft it works wonderful!! I bought it on recommendation from my stylist as he uses it for all of his clients with hair like mine or for clients with shorter hair that needs to be straightened. It doesn't work as well when I do it as opposed to him but it still comes out great. It gets really hot which is key for unruly ethnic hair like mine - other irons can't get this hot and even under the extreme heat the ceramic stays intact which helps keep your hair smooth. Since it is so hot it can't be used on its own - you MUST use heat protection spray/oil so you don't injure your hair. This information comes in the box as well. Durability My Chi is indestructible! I have the world's thickest, craziest hair and I use and abuse my iron several times a week to straighten my hair and I have never had a problem with it. After a year of owning my chi the ceramic is still intact all I have is a tiny spot that has worn down a little but it is so small it makes zero difference.

I use CHI nano Digital Technology 1" Ceramic Flat Iron in my salon for my clients. This is an awesome flat iron. I spent a lot more on these flat irons than I did on my previous brand but I am glad I did. I am not to worried about the price but more concerned about the quality of the item. The quality of this iron was great. It leaves my clients hair straighter than any of my other flat irons. I commit to this brand because it always gets the job done. Effectiveness I find the CHI Nano Digital Technology 1" Ceramic Flat Iron is very effective in getting the job done. Leaving hair soft and smooth. It leaves strands looking nice and healthy. My clients trust the effectiveness of the CHI brand as much as I do. Durability These flat irons are highly durable. I have had these flat irons for a while now and they still work great and they are very easy to clean. I use these flat irons at least a few times a day and I have to clean them constantly for sanitary purposes.

I like this product because it flattens my hair like it was done by a professional. It heats up pretty quickly and never overheats. I have had irons that damaged my hair because it got too hot but this one never does that. It works great and the color looks awesome too. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to straighten their hair quickly and not have it damaged too much. I have medium curls and it works like magic

My hair is not curly, but it's not exactly straight either. Near the bottom of my hair, it goes into waves that stick out at either end. It looks so ugly, so I had to buy a flat iron to smooth out the ends. I decided to splurge on the CHI Nano Digital Technology 1'' Ceramic Flat Iron. It did a great job of smoothing out my hair and made it straight and silky soft! It's small so you can take it anywhere! I love this flat iron.

I love my chi nano. However I have very thick, coarse curly hair. The straightener is just not capable of taming my lions mane. It works awesome for my bangs, but the rest of my hair is too much for it. My stylist introduced me to another straightener that works well on my hair, but I keep the chi nano for when I fix my friends hair. For those with less unruly hair, the chi nano works absolutely perfectly. Effectiveness Once again, it is all about hair type. It works awesome on multiple hair types: on thin, thick, wavy, and curly hair. My hair is unusually massive and curly, haha, so I would not judge the effectiveness of the chi nano strictly on my experience with my own hair. It seems to work great on just about everyone else. Durability Sadly, my chi nano has not lasted as well as I had hoped. One of the sides of the flat iron disconnected from the base, so I constantly have to snap it back into place which is difficult when it is so hot! I will sadly be replacing it soon, with a different brand.

Small and light weight product. This is a great pro whenever you have to hold it for a while since I have thick hair. It's also a con because I have to use smaller strands of hair at a time. It straightens, smooths, and makes my hair look shiny. I got this as a Christmas present a few years ago and it stills works just as the first day I got it. I use it a couple times a week and it doesn't damage my hair. CHI is a great line of product. The price is fairly high but it's worth the price especially since it lasts a long time. I am happy with the product over. It's also portable so I can take with me anywhere I go. The pros of the product are that it straightens perfectly while making it look shiny. In addition, another pro is portability. The cons is that it's small so I will have to use smaller strands of hair. It's also a pro since it's not too heavy.

I have had mine for almost 3 years, and it gets hot enough to straighten my unmangeable hair. Love this straightener. I have tried others that only do a little straigtening, but this one pulls the curl right out without breaking your hair.

I received my Chi as a gift 2 years ago. My hair is fine and thin with no body. My Chi really works great at flipping my hair out and giving my hair a fuller look. I had a hard time using it at first, but my hairdresser gave me a lesson on doing it myself and now it's easy. I like the fast heat up. If I have touch up my hair in a hurry..no problem. I don't know how I lived without it.

I have used the CHI Farouk Nano Digital Hair Straightener multiple times. Whenever I visit my friends house, I use hers to style my hair. I prefer it a lot more over my cheap hair straightener. I'll start with the look of this straightener. It's a really cute color, and it's stylish. Also, this straightener is a very light weight. It's not too heavy, and it's not hard to hold. Another thing, this straightens my hair so well! I only have to go over each section of my hair about two times! It makes straightening my hair really quick. Also, this hair straightener actually makes my flyaway hairs stay down. They don't end up sticking up, or making my hair full of static. I love this hair straightener! I think I'll be purchasing this soon.

I really like the Chi Flat Iron for after my roller sets. I use the flat iron to straighten my roots and it gets the job done. It straightens quickly and I only needed two passes. Actually one pass was ok but I just like to do two passes.
