After taking Chantix for a couple days, my smoking habit had almost disappeared. I didn't want a cigarette, and the thought of having one made me sick, But the journey to get to this point was no easy ride. I'd have to say the nightmares were the worst. I would wake up in the middle of the night, not able to move and scared shitless. The Dreams I had while taking chantix were the most vivid and real I had ever had. These Dreams or more appropriately nightmares, didn't happen once in a while but happened every night I took the PM dosage. Some days I would wake up in the morning and have to make sure that what happened in the nightmare didn't actually happen. On Top of the Night mares, I was tired all the time, and felt like I didn't really sleep at all because of the night tremors. It seemed the whole time I was taking Chantix I was in a deep haze. So my recommendation to you, If you are completely willing to take Chantix than take it, but DO NOT take all the pills for the whole six months, If you are committed, you can quit in a matter of days like I did. If you want to quit smoking but are not completely obligated than this isn't for you.
