I recently tried to refinace my mortgage thru CCO. Their representative never had the answer to my questions and did not volunteer to find the answers but even suggested to me at one point to do my own research and find the answer. Isn't that why we pay these people? To find the answers. If I had the answers or wanted to find them I would be a mortgage broker and not involved in my current profession. My phone calls were never returned in a timely manner if at all. I was under the impression that I was closing on a certain day and made sure to be available. I was told that i would be called the day before...no phone call of course. I ended up cancelling the entire refinance at 4pm the day I expected to close because there was just no communication and I was going to lose my interest rate by waiting til the next week. If I treated a client such as CCO has treated me I would either be severly reprimanded or even fired! I am not allowed to go home at the end of the day unless I have returned all client phone calls and messages. If i don't have the answer I am expected to do the research and get it. The only moral I can take from this experience is that you should never buy something you cannot afford, car, home, whatever. Save your pennies and pay cash!!!
