My first trip to Nova Scotia took me to Bar Harbor, Maine-- to take the CAT Ferry to Yarmouth; and it was comfortable and delightful. It was a smooth ride, with whale sightings, the day I went in June. On the way back in August, the experience was just as good (even without the whales). I sampled food and drink, and both were markedly better than on any other public conveyance I have experienced. I watched others pump the slot machines but spent most of my time looking at the views on the way out and took advantage of one of the "theaters" to see a film on the way back. —
