Despite the overwhelming aromas that permeate the mall from the Bath and Body Works store, it is one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a variety of scents in my hair care products, home and even make up. During my latest shopping trip, to take advantage of the half off Wallflowers collection, I armed myself with a coupon for a free Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint, valued at $7.50 for a .5 ounce tube.
Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint are not tested on animals, contains natural peppermint oils, and other natural ingredients. Bigelow Chemist (apothecaries) pride themselves on making quality products with many natural ingredients including fruits, and essential oils. They also offer a variety of bath and body products, perfumes, men's and women's products and even tote bags and purses.
My Viewpoints: I prefer the natural look. Good moisturizers, lip products a little foundation and powder and I am good to go. With four children and a busy life, who really has time for more than that? Normally because of my busy life my make up also includes one of the long wearing lipsticks, like those from Cover Girl, Revlon or Max Factor. I like that I can put it on, gloss and go. But these products and having to turn on the heat for the winter are leaving my lips quite dry, not only that but dryness leads to wrinkles, which I plan to continue to avoid, aging gracefully and slowly. Not only was the Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint free, but I did go with the purpose of getting it because I wanted to try something new and the C.O Bigelow line of products are natural and I have enjoyed the body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint goes on smoothly with the angled tip. Thought the tube makes the color appear to be pretty bright, the actual color is not. It is closer to the natural color of my lips. This works well as I can use it for the natural look, or add it to the lip stick I have already applied.
When you apply it, for the first or the 100th time Wow, bam! The mint hits you every time-sort of like Emeril in the toothpaste commercial. Tingles all across your lips. The first time I was not sure it if was a pleasant sensation. I am not a morning person but putting on Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint right when I get in the car is enough to make sure I am completely awake when I drive the children to school. It also acts as a quick "mouthwash" as when you put it on you end up of course licking your lips and getting the flavor in your mouth and lips.
Overall, Bath and Body Works, C.O Bigelow Mentha Mint Lip Tint is refreshing and long wearing, it even made it through my morning diet coke. However, it is sticky and not really moisturizing, I expected some improvement on my dry lips, and while they feel better when I first put it on, they are still chapped and will require another lip balm. But I will keep it around, enjoy it, and even buy it again. I think it will be perfect for the summer!
