On 4/2 I ordered a refurbished ipod from Buy.com under my name using my husband's credit card. The card did not have enough balance thus the transaction was denied. No problem. Next day I order item again using my husband's name and Visa debit card. They processed this order, but also applied the debit card number to the first order which was under my name. I have been buying equipment, CD's, DVD, peripherals, etc at Buy.Com for many many years.

I am continually impressed by their highly competitive prices and their efficient shipping and customer service departments.  Additionally, many many items I have purchased have included rebates that manufacturers have set up just for Buy.com purchases.  A sampling of some items I've purchased and received a rebate are: Software, iPod docks, A/V connecting cables, Brother P-Touch labeler.

This review is based on the shopping part of my experience as i have yet to recieve my merchandise.  What brought me to the website was an advertisement for 40% off electronics. Once I got to the homepage browsing all the deals and sales was very user friendly. They even go as far as to posting what items are selling the best at what percent from yesterday.  I ended up purchasing a mp3 player and external harddrive both deeply discounted and cheaper than the other online site named after a major river. I went for the free shipping that takes approx. 7-9 days. A great experience...

Buy.com has the worst customer service.  They have no phone number to contact them.  I sent 8 emails without response from customer service.  Shipping was several weeks but site indicated would ship in 1 to 2 business days.  I asked customer service to call me because on their web site it says you can ask customer service to call if there is a problem.

They substituted a product of lesser quality without my permission or their notification to me.  Even to this day their online account review shows shipping the correct product.  Customer support does not answer my emails.  This was a purchase...

Buy.com is a number one site for cheap and good electronic goods, specifically computer parts. I am a customer for about 3 years now of them. They have excellent sale items some times. keep on watching the site. You will get a very good deal on memory cards, flash drives, cameras. Their customer service also very good.
