Butterball Precooked Turkey Review

Just bought my first Butterball precooked turkey this month. I found one at a discounted price right after the holidays and couldn't pass it up.

I was delightfully surprised. I don't cook turkey very often. Too often the breast meat goes to waste in my household because I never figured out how to cook the whole bird without drying out the breast. With a Butterball precooked turkey that's not a problem. Every morsel of meat on this bird was tender and not a bit dry.

I didn't want to cook the turkey a second time when I was ready to use it so I carved the turkey and warmed it up in the microwave just before serving. No one knew my little secret and dinner was a success.

The downside of buying a precooked turkey is that there is no opportunity to stuff the bird. So if you're a big fan of traditional cooking this product might not be your choice. I'm a busy gal and I've been looking for lower calorie, more healthful meal choices recently.  We all know that turkey without the dressing fits that criteria. In fact, the turkey was so good, I didn't miss the dressing at all!

The precooked variety might seem a bit pricey at first but the quality was worth it especially when I considered the cost of other meat choices!
