yummy thanksgiving addition

We looked everywhere to find a turkey fryer, and were really glad to find one that can be used indoors and is electric. It has very little set up required, and was really easy to use. The turkeys we have made have come out wonderfully with the fryer, really moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. It's also been great for making chicken too. The only drawback we had was that you can't make a very big turkey in the fryer, so we end up making a traditional turkey as well in the oven to feed everyone. Performance Fries well and quickly. Ease of Use If you have used a basket fryer before, it's that easy. Ease of Cleaning The outside has stayed really clean and doesn't cause any messes like some fryers. Durability Has worked well for a year plus.

The Butterball Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer is Amazing!

5

I had heard the rumors, the rumblings from friends and colleagues telling me that a deep fried turkey is simply the best way to eat turkey on Thanksgiving. This year I decided to give it a shot. I started by doing some sesearch online regarding the safest way to do it. It seemed like the news was bombarded by stories of turkeys exploding, oil overflowing, and fires being started by turkey fryers. Needless to say I didn't want any of that. So when I kept getting results for the Butterball Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer as being the safest way to fry a turkey, I went for it. The first thing that stuck me was how sturdy and professional the fryer was. Another thing I loved were the safety features: A breakaway cord, no open flames to deal with, a thermometer, and an automatic turn off if the fryer gets too hot. Safety first people. After cleaning out the turkey, seasoning, and injecting a marinade it was ready to go. We poured the Oil and allowed the fryer to heat up. One big tip: Lower the turkey SLOWLY. As slow as possible. Once the turkey is completely submerged in set the timer and that's it. 56 minutes later our 14 pound turkey was ready to eat. And I can honestly say it was the best tukey I had ever eaten. I don't think we will ever go back to a turkey cooked in an oven.

Love this fryer

I love this fryer.  I initially bought this for my husband for Christmas.  We saw it on a Paula Dean cooking show, and just had to have one.  She had deep fried a ham in it, and we thought that would be neat.  One of the things that I love about this fryer it is big and you can use it inside.  We have cooked whole turkeys, hams, and small things in it as well.  It is very easy to clean as well which is also a good plus.  It has a spout on the bottom that allows you to remove the oil easily and the inner pot comes out to allow you to clean it easily.  This fryer cooks very evenly and effectively.  It also has an inner basket that is easy to load and put in and take out for easily draining oil from your food.  It heats up quickly and doesn't seem to burn easily.  I love the lid.  It has hinges in the middle so the lid folds up when you open it.  This is a great addition to anyone's kitchen.  If you don't want to put it up after using it, or you don't have enough storage space it looks great out on the counter.

FANTASTIC

I purchased the Butterball Masterbuilt Electric Fryer for this Thanksgiving after searching two cities for availability and I have got to say it was the best turkey my family has ever had.  The Fryer was easy to use and I especially liked the Temperature Control and Timer and the ability to fry inside the house.  It took all the guess work out of frying a turkey as opposed to my propane gas fryer which I would have had to stay outside to monitor the temp and time.  After using the electric turkey fryer my propane fryer will be going to the thift store.  If you fry turkeys this is a must have unit.

Amazing Turkeys

I bought this Butterball Turkey Fryer after seeing it on an informercial one night.  I thought for the price it was worth trying and boy was I right.  This fryer is easy to use and makes amazing deep fried turkeys.  It uses a lot less oil then the outdoor turkey fryers and is small enough to sit nicely on your counter top.  I would defintely recommend this item to anyone.  It would be a great gift to give this holiday season!

Butterball Masterbuilt is a masterpiece!!

My husband and I got this turkey fryer as a wedding gift.  I had never owned one before, and to be quite honest had only heard terrible things about fryers.  Like they throw oil or make a mess everywhere and they are hard to clean.  And, I can honestly say that all of those negatives remarks are not so with this fryer.  It is wonderful.  We have made everything from a turkey all the way down to making fried pickles.  It does not throw oil, make a mess and it is definitely not a hassle to clean up.  It is a great size and we actually leave ours out on the counter because it really does not take up that much space.  The backet on the inside is extremely handy and I think it is a great product.  It is so user friendly that my husband really enjoys doing the cooking when we use it.  I am never afraid of the oil flying out and making a mess.  It is really controlled.  I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a fryer.  There are a lot of different sizes out there, but you can do it all with this fryer without taking up a great deal of space.  I love it!!

Masterbuilt Indoor Turkey Fryer - Safer and Easier Large Fryer

4

We wore out our last turkey fryer and went with the Masterbuilt Indoor Turkey Fryer this time. It's built smaller and safer, plus it can be used indoors which is nice on really cold days which is usually when we fry turkey. Butterball Turkey company teamed up with Mastbuilt (bit name in turkey or outdoor fryers) for this model which is much like the indoor fryers for chicken and French fries. There's a housing box and then the oil goes in the unit. A large basket and a lifter round out the product. It takes around a gallon and a half of oil, so that's a lot. It can be strained and used again. But, I season the turkey pretty heavy, so I don't think it looks good enough to try to strain with all the Holen One rub floating in there. Oh well. Straining oil through cheese cloth and finding a place to store it is not my idea of a good time anyway. Since we did a turkey breast last night, we ran the temp at 325 F. For a large turkey, it would go up to 375 for frying. With these high temps, we used peanut oil which can take high tempertures. It took around 30 minutes for the oil to hit the temperature reflected with the green light. On the frying, it's 7 minutes per pound. With a 6 pound turkey breast, we fried for 40 minutes, and the times were accurate. The fryer did kick a breaker once which knocked out the fryer, basement lights, and the computer for a couple of minutes until I could find a flashlight and reset the breaker. This could have been due to having to use an extension cord as the cord is very short (3 feet or so), and my cabinets are not very wide. So, we fried on the kitchen table so needed more length on the cord. We've used the big outdoor turkey fryers, and this Masterbuild indoor turkey fryer is much easier to handle and use. It also is square built and sits solid on the table so no worries about tipping. The turkey turned out great. Fried turkey is really moist. Also, the outside is just YUM.

This Butterball Fryer is all you could want and more!

I bought this fryer for my husband as a Christmas gift. He used it for the first time and he loved it! He mad ea big batch of chicken wings, and holy moly were they DELICIOUS! The meat was mosit and flavorfull! We can't wait to do some boiled shrimp in this. It's a nice size and fits well on the countertop of our smaller kitchen. The sides stay cool while frying and the handy cooking basket is awesome. The basket has clips so that it can hang on the side of the fryer and allows the oil to drain out.  The viewing window is a nice tough as well. With it, you don't have to keep raising hte lid and losing heat in order to see your food. We love this fryer, I can't say enough good things about it. It has more than frying capability. It also steams and boils. You can not go wrong here! It uses less oil than other turkey fryers as well, whihc means healthier food and less waste. So, if you are looking for an excellent indoor turkey fryer, this is your best bet! I mena really, it fried a 14 lb turkey!!!
