It is located in a large city- Indianapolis- so there is always something to do and reviewers also like the large variety of campus activities and academic resources. There is a strong community sense at Butler and the university stresses the importance of community relations. Butler University is an “Intimate Community of Learners” and other than some concerns about lack of diversity, Butler University is one of the better Colleges or Universities in the Midwestern United States.

Butler University is a located in a residential section of bustling Indianapolis. With a college of liberal arts and sciences and 5 professional colleges it emphasizes a liberal arts base through-out its curriculum —             It fosters a growing sense of community in each student through out their years in attendance through its many Greek houses and community programs. Butler is a very comfortable place. It needs help with diversity, and is not very progressive, but it seems like it would be easy to make it that way. Greek life is popular, but all students have an easy time finding a niche. There is a fantastic group of faculty and staff, and there are lots of helpful and free on-campus resources. I liked Butler's small community and the friendly atmosphere.

The people at Butler are so friendly. Everyone says hi when they walk by, and it is very easy to know most of your classmates since it is such a small school. Also, since the buildings are so close together, you don't have to worry about being late to class. I wish I had to go outside more often between classes, though, because the landscaping is beautiful.… read full review »

Beautiful campus

Butler is a great school for music and dance!  The campus is beautiful and Indianapolis is a wonderful city to live in.  Many of the people who go to Butler decide to stay in Indy after they graduate.  They also have a good theater department and pharmacy program. … read full review »

Butler gave my daughter a great education, and solid training.
