Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm Review Summary

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm certainly elicits strong feelings from our lip balm junkies! This balm comes in a swivel up tube and is made of natural ingredients. It is honey scented and supposedly tastes like honey as well. Those who love Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm really love it. They like the texture and scent as well as the hydration the balm gives their lips.Eternallygrissoms says, "It smells great and it is so moisturizing." Those who don't like it cite the taste and scent are off and that the balm is dry and waxy. PrincessSD says, "I love the original, but this was just a mess." All agree that it's a good thing that Burt's Bees doesn't do any sort of animal testing, however. If you're looking for reviews of lip balms, we have plenty of them for you to read and compare!

My mom started me off on Burts Bees. She started with the original Burts Bees. I tried it but I didnt like it because it seemed to have a tingly feeling when I put it on. So the next time I went to the drug store I found this one. It is perfect and I love it. It smells great and it is so moisturizing.... read full review »

"OH YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS LIP BALM!"

My mother so rarely gets this excited about a beauty product that I perked up immediately.

"What is it?"

She leaned in closer to share her exciting discovery.

"It is this new BURTS BEES HONEY LIP BALM! It is FABULOUS stuff- you can taste a little burst of honey in...

The Verdict: I love Burt's Bees original lip balm but this Honey Lip Balm is just bad.  The consistency is unpleasant and the scent and taste are just awful.  I could not wait to wipe it off my lips.

Just the Facts:  I'm not a huge fan of Burt's Bees products but several years ago someone bought me a gift bag that included a tube of Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm and I really liked that.  So when I saw the Honey Lip Balm I figured I'd probably like it too.  Well I was wrong.

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm is OK as far as lip balms go.  It's loaded with good stuff like shea butter, almond oil, cocoa...

Quick View: Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm is a natural way to soothe chapped lips and keep them soft. It's not the best balm out there but it does the job and honey lovers will enjoy the scent and slight taste. I am not the biggest fan of this balm but others love it.

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm

This balm comes in a Chapstick-like honey colored tube. The balm is quite waxy and hard and it takes a bit of getting used to. I am used to slick balms that easily glide on. This one feels harder and even a bit gravely going on. However, it does stay on my lips better than the lighter, greasier types. The scent...

I have been trying new products lately and had the occassion to try Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm while working outdoors this week.  It has been very nice weather with lots of sun which causes my lips chap.

The balm glided on smoothly and had a mild honey smell which was pleasant.  At least the bees really thought it pleasant.  I have never attracted so many bees.  Luckily none of the bees were very agressive.  I didn't realize at first it was the lip balm that attracted them to me.  I don't wear scented deoderants or perfume of any kind when working outdoors because it attacts bees.

It dawned...

So, I have always loved Burt's Bee's. I thought I would try the honey. What a great product! I think, from now on, I will be only getting the Honey. Not sure on that though. I do like the original as well as the Pomigranite one. I am really getting into the natural product lines and I am thankful there are some out there that are affordable, even if a little pricey. I think the price is well worth it though. My children and husband also like them and use them often. I really do not think you can go wrong with these.

Great !!!!!!!!!  Burt's bees took their already great lip balm and made it even better.  This glides on.  It's not at all hard like some items are that are made for chapped lips.  This tastes great, is all natural and is affordable.  What more could a girl (or guy) ask for!  OH - one more thing - BURT'S BEES NEVER EVER TESTS ON ANIMALS!!!  That's the cincher for me!!!

Like many people I enjoy products that are natural.  That is why I enjoy Burt's Bees products so much.  Most of the products there are 100 percent natural and the ones that are not are usually at least 90 percent natural.

I have long been a fan of Burt's Bees lip balms.  There are a few different ones to choose from.  One of them is the Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm.  I see this near the checkout counters at many stores, usually next to the Chap Stick, but you can usually find it in the beauty aisle of most stores.  I happened to have gotten mine in a Burt's Bees kit along with several other...

I usually love Burt's Bees. But this...was a disappointment. Smells terrible, probably because honey doesn't have much of a fragrance, and they didn't want to add fake fragrances.  I understand, but...this product smells too strange.  Also tastes terrible and is sticky.

There's honey in it - big deal.  Almost all Burt's Bees products have honey.

I'll stick with the original Burt's Bees chapstick, thanks.

I am sad to say that I was disappointed by the Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm. I tried this product because I am a HUGE fan of the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip balm and I thought that the honey one would be a nice change. It certainly provides a little more moisture than the regular beeswax lip balm, however, it is too heavy. I also do not like the smell either. I thought it would smell more like honey, but it smells..."processed." Needless to say, after buying this product, I didn't wait to run out of it before I went out to buy the regular beeswax balm.

I have this product and use it every once in a while when i cant find the original burt's bee's.  Its a good lip balm but i like the original burt lip balm better.  I dont feel as if it heals as well.  Its a stiffer balm.  Although it doesn't have the sting like the original burts bee's does if your lips are chapped.  Just depends what you like. My mom likes this one, while i like the original burt bees lip balm.

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm strikes a perfect balance. It is smooth without being oily, and scented without being overpowering. With frequent application, it does an excellent job keeping my lips from chapping in cold Pennsylvania weather. The honey scent is subtle and pleasant to a honey-lover like myself, unlike the harsher scents of some drugstore brands. This lip balm is worth a place in your pocket.

I love the original Burt's Bees lip balm, so I anticipated loving this formula as well.  But when I tried it, I got none of the magic tingle that is present in his other lip balm products.  It is waxy & dry feeling and doesn't seem to relieve my chapped lips at all.  The taste is subtle, but unpleasant.  I will never stray from the original again.

Let me begin here by saying I am a huge Burt's Bee's fan. Now having said that here goes, this stuff is nasty. It smells and tastes like pollen or something that I can't quite put my finger on. I thought I had gotten ahold of a bad tube or something so I went back and bought another one and Shazam it was not a bit better.  I don't even like the texture it's slimy and greasy.  I don't reccomend this product it is just foul or should I say fowl.

All this time, I thought I had gotten a stale tube - turns out the balm is actually formulated to be lumpy!  I love the original, but this was just a mess.  I held onto it as a backup, but when the time came to use it I just threw it away.
